If so, what are some of your regrets/regret?
I think I’m a toss up between having regrets but also satisfied with who I am and what I’ve learned through my experiences. I was with an emotionally abusive husband for almost 8 years. He controlled everything I did. I wasn’t allowed to use make up,have Facebook, have a license and drive, I wasn’t allowed to have money. Whatever I received from work had to go straight to him. I couldn’t express my bisexual side. When I finally realized I’m unhappy and I need to be free, I regret the process to my freedom. I should have sat him down and said “ I want to learn how to apply make up, I want a Facebook account so I can connect with my family, I want my license, I want to explore my bisexual side”. But I didn’t do that. I ended up cheating on him with two different girls, felt guilty and told him. That’s what caused the divorce. I’m happy with the outcome because years later, I have my very own car, I’m happily married to an amazing man that lets me be who I am meant to be and I can live freely! I regret the way I did it but I don’t regret what I learned and who Ive become ☺️

I have done a lot of dum things in my life that I do regret but I don't dwell on them, it's water under the bridge as they say. Growing up my family was never the type to hug anyone and not use the LOVE word at all. It was the same with my1st. marriage, then my 2nd. wife's family was all about hugs, which is when I opened up to hugs. The thing I regret the most and still think about it very often is NOT hugging my dad and telling him that I LOVED him, before he passed away. I was adopted when I was about 6-7 yrs. old, my adopted father was the only father I knew and always thought of him as my FATHER, I never referred to him as a step father, and he never ever referred to me as his step son. WOW, this is the 1st time I have ever put this in print.!!!! So, I guess deep down, I'm putting this out there so someone else will not have that kind of regrets. Hug your family & friends and let them know how you feel, as no one here on earth knows when it will be there time to go !!!!!

Oh gosh, where do I start? Then again, what has happened in my life has made me the person I am now. I may regret some choices or actions, but I try not to live the regret over and over. I'm not always successful at doing that either. I just try to be thankful for what I do have.
@introvme , after I said NO, I then thought, I did hear it somewhere, so I looked it up. You must be referring to the genetic testing, I did have that done by another co., it was neat to see the results. I do know who my biological parents were, a long story there !!!
When I was a teen, I got to go to a Strategic Intelligence camp at Patrick Henry College. I brought my favorite hat, a black one made of sturdy canvas that kept the light out of my eyes just right (and looked cool to boot).
On my way to the airport after camp, I forgot that hat in the college's van. Walked onto the plane without it. Never saw it again.
This remains the greatest regret of my life.

@DarrenWalker - couldn't you find another hat just the same? I once lost a hat I really liked. It was an US army desert camouflage hat that I found in a military surplus store in San Diego. Not only did I need the hat but it had to be the exact same size, 7 5/8. After searching for some time I found the hat on eBay in the correct size.
@UKGuy: Alas, I don't know the brand, size, or even what the style's called. It was a random find, and I doubt I'll ever run across a twin. Anyway, I refuse to let regret run my life. If I find my hat I'll be very happy! And if I don't, well... I have other things I value. [rueful shrug] In either case I'd still regret being such an absent-minded twit. Oh well.
