You seem to have a cloud problem too.
But you just need to find the right spot. I once saw an amazing juxtaposition of Venus and Jupiter - with a perfect crescent moon nearby - right above Big Ben. That was right in the centre of London; to be fair on one of those crystal clear nights.

I wish I had a telescope! We saw it - kinda fuzzy to these old eyes. But just so cool.
