  • Yup ☺️ As long as they’re respectful of my boundaries, it does not matter to me

  • Well, I had to go and Google it, I guess I don't get out enough, LOL
It would make no difference to me !!!, as the old saying goes, each to his own !!!

Absolutely! I like all types of people. For me it is more about my attraction to them. I can be attracted to a personality trait, to a quality or characteristic they have. A lot of times it’s physical appearance. It’s always kindness. Cleanliness is important to me. But it all comes down to if I can find something that I find attractive. I like women (mostly) and men and trans and straight and gay and questioning and people who wear make up and people who don’t wear make up and people who are big and people who are small and all the colors. I just need to find somebody that I like as a friend. Then boom! Give me some cuddles!

  • There was a similar forum “would you cuddle a trans peron” I know trans and intersex are two different things but it just makes me sad that that even has to be a question. 😢

  • Yes.

But I'm not yet cool enough to cuddle cis men. One day I hope to be. That means I might not be keen on cuddling somebody who looked and acted masculine. But that's my loss, not theirs.

@xandriarain yes, sad that we have a world where this is a question

  • How about we worry about the other 99%+ folks here first.

  • [Deleted User]DarrenWalker (deleted user)

Tell you what, @MrFirefighter: you worry about you, and I'll worry about me. And anybody who feels like joining me—well, you're welcome and thanks for posting!

  • [Deleted User]verona (deleted user)

Wouldn’t matter to me I would probably never even know unless they told me and then honestly it really doesn’t matter because attraction doesn’t matter here right?

  • @MrFirefighter ~ I hope your comment was in jest and just landed wrong.

"How about we worry about the other 99%+ folks here first."

  • @Mr.Firefighter, a very hasty remark and seemingly inconsiderate. Let us be open and respectful.

  • [Deleted User]Mmart (deleted user)

    I totally agree with @Sheena123
Its about respect, boundaries and character.

@quixotic_life @johny18 I understand your points, but it was an observational opinion by him that did not condemn that group. Toleration is a two-way street. If you want understanding, be tolerant of those that disagree with you as well. We could all, and I put myself first, do a better job of that.

  • Cuddling shouldn’t discriminate against anyone. If they can breathe and they are clean that’s all that matters.

  • [Deleted User]DarrenWalker (deleted user)

You're right, @FunCartel—saying a group isn't worth talking about is different from condemning that group. "Don't ask questions about that group, it's a minority and most people don't care" is absolutely different from "I don't want to hear about those people, they suck."

On the subject at hand: cuddling isn't supposed to be discriminatory, no... but everyone does have their preferences, right? So I wondered what they were in this case.

@FunCartel ~ Putting the group(s) one identifies with above that of another (those who are "other") is what's contributing to our society's glaring disparities.

By only acknowledging the concerns of the majority, it serves to "condem" the minority in that it dismisses their concerns/them as part of the whole.

So how about we do worry about others/everyone and not just ourselves?

    edit : @MrFirefighter and @DarrenWalker too.

  • @quixotic_life He didn’t state what you are attributing to him directly. I think you are rushing to condemnation by reading more than is there and this is why the nation is divided. Instead of rushing to judgement, why not ask him to clarify his remarks rather than putting words in his mouth that he did not say. You offer an interpretation of what he said, but not necessarily what he meant. If he says I reject that one percent, then you have an issue. I don’t worry about just myself, but that includes people who I may disagree with—and even you could do better than that as I have said.

Now my interpretation—I disagree with your assessment that he “is only acknowledging the concerns of the majority”. The alternate reading of this is that the majority can’t even agree on things or get along with one another why would the one percent be any different? I read it as a frustration with the world as it stands now. But I could be wrong just as much as you could be...or just as right. I took it as nothing more than “Hey, I have trouble getting cuddles from the majority why would the one percent want to cuddle.” Ultimately no one but @MrFirefighter knows for sure. It was a vague statement.

  • @DarrenWalker I agree. People have their preferences. I thought he made a vague statement that could be interpreted a myriad of ways. I did not think it deserved a lecture without asking what he meant first.

  • [Deleted User]DarrenWalker (deleted user)

@FunCartel: Well, how about we worry about all the other comments here first.

  • @DarrenWalker I addressed the minority of them so I am woke.

  • [Deleted User]DarrenWalker (deleted user)

Dear me, surely that was a vague statement that could be interpreted a myriad of ways? You didn't even ask what I meant before assuming you knew, @FunCartel. Tsk, tsk.

  • @DarrenWalker I didn’t assume anything junior, I was making a joke. But I will ask you this—did you assume that I assumed I knew?

  • edited December 2020

True @FunCartel ~ I was quick to lay my own interpretation over @MrFirefighter 's comment. I don't think it was much of a leap though and to say I'm being "intolerant" of what reads as "dismissive intolerance" (to me/IMO) is not much of a concern. It does bother me that you're leaping to judge my "assumed" leap of judgment though. I was asking for clarification through a statement, then followed your comment with my opinion. Do I not deserve some "tolerance" too?

    And this...

“Hey, I have trouble getting cuddles from the majority why would the one percent want to cuddle.”

... is exactly the issue. They're people! So either they will, they won't, or they will be indifferent to wanting to cuddle (though if on CC it seems they'd fall into the "wants to" group).

@DarrenWalker ~ to actually answer the question posed...
My preference is to cuddle with those I feel have a "masculine" energy. I don't think I care what "sex" that being is, as long as our vibes are compatible.

I do wish I had a term other than "masculine" though. I'm an air/water being who is drawn to fire and feels best cuddling those who are grounded.

Note: I used "think" above because I have no idea if I've ever approached, or been approached by, an "intersex person". It's not something I've ever thought to inquire about. If I'm being honest, my mind tends to blurr out everyone's below the waist privates and, unless told/shown otherwise, I figure they look kind of like an action figure/doll down there. I just don't have an interest in finding out one's private's details (and hope they aren't interested in mine either).
    Does that seem wrong/offensive? 🤷‍♀️
    I really hope not.

Edit/Add... The "lecture" (my opinion) was based on your (FunCartel's) post where you flagged me. I don't think he (MrFirefighter) needed a lecture either. It was just an observation of a comment he made seeming to not have an awareness around the ["myriad of"] implications.

@FunCartel: Well, I didn't expect you to assume anything senior, I suppose. But when a person simply replies to a post rather than asking any clarifying questions at all... it does look rather as though they're assuming they've already understood it properly, doesn't it?

@quixotic_life: My mind does the blurring thing, too. So probably it is offensive in some way (seems like most of the things that come naturally to me are)—but not to me.

    Thanks for the specifics!

  • I’ll assume... the firefighter guy came off as very rude to me. I expect better from this community promoting healing and positive platonic touch.

  • edited December 2020

@DarrenWalker Yes people are assuming when they respond to a post, BUT if you are going to castigate the person for their post I feel it is a responsibility to find out exactly what they mean. If you are responding by agreeing, joking, or offering a differing opinion, I do not think you necessarily have to ask. But castigation of a vague post needs clarification first. Kind of like cops should be absolutely certain that a person has a weapon before filling the person full of holes.

@FunCartel: Yeees. You know, I'm fairly certain that when someone asks "What do you think of people like these?" and someone else responds "How about we worry about the other 99%+ folks here first," this is not a vague statement which could mean almost anything.

  • @DarrenWalker Well, I have to disagree with you. Especially since you did not state that you are intersex in the poll. Yet again, it is all about you. So, if I say I would never in a million years cuddle you, does that make me a bad person? Not because you are intersex, but because you are annoying. Keep in mind that there really is no right or wrong answer on this but I am sure you are going to insist there is. And yes, I am positive there are people that think I am annoying, but quite frankly, why worry about it?

  • "Castigate/Castigation" ~ LOL! 🙄
    Something about projection/throwing stones...

  • I would cuddle any gender! Respect, connection and positive energy, are s few things that I look for in cuddle buddies!🤗
