This is something on the theme of mermaids and the art of the underwater dance...and the cat in the hat shop
I make a lot of different types of art.
@Saysoh that is incredibly flattering! Those are all epic pieces by the way. I will message you and thank you!
Dang @Saysoh ~ Those are next level!! 🥰
Oh wow🤩 @Touch_You_Crave absolutely gorgeous!!
@Saysoh id love to be able to hear that audible piece!
Too many gorgeous creations in this thread. Thank you everyone for sharing!
I love this.
I am pretty obsessed with lettering (drawing letters by hands) ✍️🤓 I draw only black and white because it is very much like breathing - that you have in and out as the black strokes I put down versus the negative spaces in between. I am also just natural more drawn to shapes and space than colour.
I often think that those creative folks are the “sensitive” bunch, therefore most likely to be great cuddle companions whom I usually can exchange energy with ease. (Definitely not saying those who don’t art aren’t good cudd budds!)
You certainly have brought a pleasant @atmosphere114 to this thread! 🤓
@JoyfulHeart thank you very much 🤗 just from one of my dreams....

This might just be my favorite thread ever! Completely blown away ❤️
Exhibit A: kiln carving a neo-lavender glass block (called a billet), using carbon fiber paper design of an elk. I used an Xacto knife to cut the paper design, placed the block on the design in the kiln, then used a firing schedule that would allow the block to flow, but stop before it lost its square shape. Thanks, gravity! The glass looks pink in some lights, and lavender/blue in other lights. I chose this for my slightly homophobic nephew so he'd never forget his big gay uncle. Whether he uses it as a paper weight, a charcuterie platter (who am I kidding... this guy thinks camo is dressy, and that Cheeze-Wiz and Budweiser beer are classy), or he trashed it because of gay cooties... it's out of my hands now. Unbeknownst to him... I made two. #sorrynotsorry
@Sideon I was impressed with the skill level and thought you applied to that project. But I was more impressed with the gesture of love to your nephew, because this could be used in the same way as giving porcelain to a urinal manufacturer. Yet you did it. We need more of that.
Thought I'd share a couple other old favorites of mine. One is a creature I created when I was younger, in what I call his puppy stage. The other's an assignment where we had to do a self portrait but also had to pick a picture on the internet to draw into the background. 😊
My youngest daughter's first Halloween costume I crocheted. I was very particular about which stitches I wanted to use and am very proud of the outcome. People stopped us to take pics of her.
A couple of cakes I've made. Baking anything and cake decorating are something I get the most enjoyment out of. I've baked professionally for a while and still have such passion for it.
A couple of tattoos that I have, while not my own handiwork, I still love and appreciate the artists that did them for me and wanted to show their work because they mean a lot to me. They're both on Instagram @nestormurrayart did my rose and dagger and @torrancetattoos did my youngest daughter's portrait once we hit maintenance in her treatment for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia
Wow, these are incredible! Thanks to everyone putting up their artwork. Keep it coming!
