Me moderating my social media pages and groups when someone can't follow the rules.
@CallMeMikey YES!!!!! This!!! 😂😂😂
Thanks to all of the Moderators for the outstanding job they do keep up the good work.
OMGOSH>>>>>>>>>>
Someone mentioned how lovely it is that we have moderators who try and take care of the site. Taking care of us.
I was scrolling through the forums and its written all over how much they care about the community.......
Thank you moderators for all you do as VOLUNTEERS!! And thank you to the beautiful community who reaches out and says "Hey! I want to help protect this space that we have so we can TALK MORE ABOUT CUDDLING!!!"
Hugs out to you ALL!!!
Just make sure your opinion is the same as everyone elses and you will get along fine
@wrench So true! 😊🤗
@sillysassy Hey! I want to help protect this space that we have so we can TALK MORE ABOUT CUDDLING!!!
Now if only mods could hide profiles that have been inactive for longer than 2 months or have no profile picture. Sure would help filter out the hundreds of blank profiles here
@wrench weren't you the one who literally made a comment about genitals? Hm. Beats me why you were timed out.
@wrench I think that would be considered a programming issue . Mods only moderate. They dont manage the program development of the site .
The most amazing thing about this platform of cuddle people is that we all get to have a voice.
While I think you have a valid request it isn't for the Moderators to decide. That is a @Mark question, but I imagine that you know that since you've been on the site since 2019. There are a million great ideas that are in the thread "ways for the website to be improved" and this one has come up before.
If Mods could hide profiles willy nilly (or only after a few months) then there are a lot of people I would have never met. There are MANY people who deactivate for awhile to take care of life stuff or because they have a partner or just because they're taking a break from the forums and messages. I happen to be one of those people.
That's why I can't really agree that the site is all about the singularity of opinions. Yes a singular set of rules that we all agree to abide by, but I have NEVER in my life met with a group of people who can connect on so many levels even though their opinions vary so greatly.
I love and appreciate @carrieanne made about us all working together and being nice because that is what makes this community work. We can enjoy people exactly as they are knowing that we very possibly could be polarized on a lot of issues but can come together about cuddling.
What I think is beautiful is that the CREATOR OF THE WEBSITE @Mark made it easy peasy to look for people who have been active recently and within your time allotment. I appreciate how he has tried to make a community that works out well for lots of people to find what they need. And to help each other since the Mods are just volunteering to deal with the riff raff and the ugliness. Maybe you could volunteer to be a Moderator if you feel like it would be a better way for your voice to be heard? You have been here almost 4 years and I am certain that you have seen a lot of the ebb and flow of things around here.
@wrench
The filters in search are your friend. You CAN put in criteria to include or exclude profiles that have a picture or not. You CAN filter based on when users were last active.
This! So grateful for your hard work. We all appreciate you
Well done 👍✅
Do any of you wear capes? 🦸♂️
Super mods to the rescue!!!
People need to get out more. Be thankful you are not confined in a wheelchair and a catheter bag. Put down those devices and get out. Go volunteer somewhere and make a positive difference in someone's life.
Thanks, mods. I pray for each of your insanities every day.
😮wow! the mods have been busy lately! Thank you all! yeesh, hope you get some relax time soon!
@OhioMike ha you beat me to it. I came here to say exactly that. This week has been one where our already over-worked mods have had to put in even more overtime, and that’s not even considering all the things we don’t see outside of cleaning up the forums!
Yea, while the forums fluctuates with needing attention from a few reports, the main site keeps us busy. Currently 20 reports looking to be addressed and it's barely noon. Some days it's knock out 20-30 reports, go have dinner, and watch a show episode or 2 only to come back and see another 10-15. It does help having the team spread out over different time zones, and countries, with different schedules so they don't pile up too much and still get addressed fairly quickly.
@netrunner that's interesting info. I can see that the forums by themselves fluctuates with needing moderator attention.
While the main site itself has got to be daily crazy with new members and profiles that need moderator attention!
In the old days CC had a daily thread welcoming new members by username. It usually had I think like 50 to 75 new members signed up each day. That thread stopped awhile ago.
I always wondered what the forum participation percentage is among members? Uneducated guess by me would be maybe 1% to 2 % of members actually post on the forums. Maybe more , maybe less. I'm sure someone out there has a more informed idea! 🤔
@OhioMike I know a moderator or 2 isn’t going to like me “suggesting” this, but maybe that’s why content on the forums has been allowed to become more broad, so much of which having NOTHING to do with cuddling.. I know you and I have talked about this before, but it’s scary to wonder what other aspects of cuddling are going to become more “broad”.. I get that it takes A LOT of manpower, but if content is doubled down on and THAT becomes evident, maybe that would encourage more participation than opening up the forum to irrelevant subject matter.
I especially thank the mods this week, I haven’t found out anything specific but I know they’re watching and quickly on top of things, weeding out harmful posts. ❤️🤗
@great_pillow08 - there are forum guidelines and subjects and content to avoid, but other than that, we don't have a hard and fast rule that says any post has to be cuddle-associated. But there are limits. Want to proselytize? Start a church. Feeling trollish? Go find a bridge. You're a fan of Andrew Tate? Book a double session with a urologist and Greta Thunberg. Want to start a flame war? I've got an extinguisher for you. When in doubt, read the FAQ and forum rules.
Reading the forums, mileage varies per person. Kinda like Baskin Robbins - if there isn't something that interests you, move on to another selection.
The true moderators of this site are the members. You all flag and report and self-police. Moderators work off that queue of issues, and when it's quiet, we might peruse and join in the threads (case in point). When it's really quiet, I don't even log in. When our last nerve is worked, we deactivate and take time off. There's only so many untagged Pros advertising everywhere, Mr. Grabby McGrabby boundary pushers, and unsolicited dick pics that we can handle.
Forum participation is not what it could be
I would personally find it boring if every post and thread were only about cuddling, and would personally find a person strange if literally all they ever talked about were cuddling.
@pmvines Off topic zealots don't seem to understand that the point of community is to share, learn, grow, get to know each other etc. Not to keep to a strict topic. The forum header is "Social" not "Cuddle talk only" I can't imagine how repetitive that would become. My favorite is when they go off topic themselves and don't recognize it.
CHEERS to necro threads because Moderators (old and NEW) deserve some extra love and recognition today.
♥️♥️♥️
Thanks, mods, for taking down our latest sob story scammer, within minutes! ✨️
Watch your wallets, peeps.
