Walking through a campground in everglades National Park, I fount this Red Shouldered Hawk sitting on the handle bars of a bicycle, looking like he's waiting to go for a ride.

Winter is the dry season is southern Florida, and some winters are so dry that some normally wet areas in the Everglades completely dry up. When that happens, the fish congregate in the areas that remain wet. Where fish congregate, fish predators e.g. alligators and wading birds are sure to follow. I'm not sure hoe the birds avoid being eaten, unless it's that the gators are completely sated by abundance of fish. The Heron (top, left of center) seems safe, but the other Heron (center of right edge) and the Egret appear to be at risk.
Oh my yay!! I have reasons and a season to visit Florida!! @GreatHornedOwl ~ All your pics are incredible ~ but the babies and the birds... That pic is inspirational!! 🤗
@KYtranspant ~ If you're ever looking for a road tripping buddy, I'd be down in a heartbeat!! 👍
Some Pacific Northwest...
@quixotic_life - I'm glad to hear that you enjoy my photos, and I thank you so much for the compliment. I've been a little unsure if I ought to be posting that many photos, but as long as some fellow cuddlers are enjoying them, I'll keep it up for a while longer.

@GreatHornedOwl my goal one day is to stay as still as you do to take those shots! I caught a video of a few pileated woodpeckers doing their job, they're really pretty up close. I tried to get a little chipmunk to get comfortable with me by staying really stiill but it ended up scurrying away. I really wanted to have my Snow White moment, but there will be other opportunities

@SnshineScarlett You missed your chipmunk, so here are some photos for you.
@GreatHornedOwl 🥺 wow what a great shot! Animal whisperer!

With their essentially all black plumage, I've never found Double -crested Cormorants to be very interesting photo subjects. However, this one struck a nice pose that shows off his facial features. He was standing on a rock, so by laying on my belly, I was able to shoot up at him so as to have only the sky behind him.
Wow chefs kiss great shot @GreatHornedOwl
