A Professional Cuddler owning a Ferrari? Fact or 🧢?

There is a popular video series where this guy comes up to people in fancy cars and asks them what they do for a living. Yesterday, a new video showed a woman with a $300,000 Ferrari saying she was a professional cuddler. I am pretty submerged in the cuddle therapy world and have never seen or heard of this woman. I also don't know how a legitimate cuddle therapist could afford this car. She claims to make $100-$300 an hour, and the max paid session hours I could imagine anyone doing is 30 hours a week, but 20-25 is more realistic. So the math does not add up since you need to make at least double the cost of the car annually to afford it, so by this logic, she would need to make at least $600,000 a year to afford a Ferrari.

What do you think? Have you seen or heard of her?

I imagine it's probably BS, but a bit of a weird lie to tell if it is one.

Maybe she's a professional cuddler with some famous/wealthy clientele who pay a boatload for it? could be an on-call professional cuddler for just a few kind of like with personal chefs. But if she is doing that kind of thing then she'd still probably need to make more than what she said with reasonable or semi-reasonable hours.

Yeah the more I think about it, the more I think she's lying or there's more to the story.

There are many wealthy people who claim to have some profession, and indeed do get some work from their friends and acquitances. However, their money actually comes from family or spouse. Some of these people are almost delusional, some just want to fit in better with the everyday world.

There are others who genuinely are experts in their field and work very hard, but again they have wealth from other sources.

Then of course there are sex workers who pretend to be cuddlers.

@xandriarain @Zundar If she does make that much I bet you that there is more to the story. I don't know much about the professional cuddling world but I do know some things about the sex industry and strippers lying about how much they make strictly by just dancing. This so called professional cuddler would have to be doing a lot more than just cuddling. And let me tell you that all that guys want is sex, even when they chat up a professional adult entertainer who doesn't offer sex they always ask for sex guaranteed. They don't get the services unless sex is part of it.

There was a woman in dr. Phil who claimed that she was a professional cuddler and received $10,000 from her client. She did say that she had to pose some stuff that are not exactly platonic on her website. Did I hear the lady with the ferrari correctly "it depends what they desire?" What does that mean?

Cheapest Ferrari I could locate for sale in the USA right now is a 1987 Mondial for about $45K. Less than the price of a new Ford 150 pickup truck. However, that is not the what the car in the video appears to be. Desirable late model ones quickly get into the $150k to $300k range. Not only would buying such a car be out of reach for most people, maintaining it certainly would.

Another possibility is that the car is rented. For low four figures per day, one can rent a late model Lamborghini, Ferrari, or other supercar. People marketing themselves as gurus of one sort or another (day trading, sports betting, real estate investing, etc.) or influencers do it all the time as a part of their marketing. I think it goes back to the days of Tom Vu infomercials. lol

I’ve seen these videos before, they are all written in a mediocre way and badly acted.

If some rando pointing a camera ran up to me while I’m pump gas I’d ask them to leave me alone or go talk to the gas station manager (a lot of them don’t want people shooting video on their property for safety reasons.)

Typically these “ask the person driving [an expensive car] what they do for a living” videos are usually selling something. Often they are mlm’s or other scams. Even if they were real it makes little sense to really do this; lots of people with money either don’t care about cars or don’t wish to spend money on something that depreciates so quickly.

@Rezz that might be a possibility. I am thinking they are doing a parody of people going to rich houses or luxury vehichles asking "what do they do for a living?"

Never heard of this person but the math works out just fine in her favour. Assuming 200 dollars an hour and 30 hours a week that is 6k total per week. 300 divided by 6 is only 50 weeks to get 300k. Even if half of that goes to taxes and other things you would only need two years to buy that car.

The purpose of these videos is for entertainment and occasionally shilling trash.

Other car enthusiasts do frequently ask about my car when I'm out say getting gas BUT If someone came up to my door trying to get my attention, I'd lock my doors and drive the f away. I sure as hell wouldn't entertain someone asking personal questions about what I do for a living or allow them close enough to where they could attempt to carjack me. 🤣 If I was a young woman driving a half a million dollar car and some guy came up to my door with a camera in my face, I'd mace their ass.

In the video she says she charges different rates "depending on what the client desires." That sounds like a sex worker which would explain how she's able to make more money than she claims as solely a professional cuddler. That being said, 25 hours a week at 200 an hour is 260k a year, so it's possible. Save up for a few years, invest, etc. You don't need to put 300k down to own/lease a 300k car. These videos do seem scripted though.

If she lives in an affluent enough area, I can see how she would be able to afford it. And I've seen a cuddler on here who charged 500/hour so I'm not gonna dismiss this as cap.

It sounds like the interview left out a lot of details and her answers were a bit sheepish. I’d highly doubt she’s making $600k a year on cuddling alone.

Sorry if someone already brought this up, i skimmed thru a few comments, she does say it "Helps" pay the bills,...not meaning that how she ACQUIRED the car, ive had several luxury vehicles and it wasn't because of my normal job,..ive won Poker Tournaments🃏 in Vegas and Atlantic City🎲 have been Awarded Back pay from the IRAQ 🏅war etc etc . and decided to treat myself🏎️ 💨💨💨

It's BS. If anything, it shows incredibly poor judgement.

I've seen a lot of professional cuddlers and not one of them who is running a legit business is making that kind of bank.

This is a publicity stunt.

I used to work with a massage therapist who said she wanted to be able to make $100,000/year. She was one of those folks who believed in affirmations i.e. if you say it, it will happen, so she started telling people she made $100,000/year. She didn’t.

I also know of another MT who wrote a book, The $100,000 Massage Therapist, in which she said she would show massage therapists how they could make $100,000/year. In the book she admitted she had never actually done that herself but she was going to show you how you could do it.

One of these was about 30 years ago when the going rate for massage therapy was about half of what it is now and the other was over 20 years ago. Some people will say anything to get attention.

As of this post I am one of 2 out of 23 votes who voted fact. As @jon5821 said, 25 hours a week times $200 an hour (the mid point of what was mention in the video) = $260,000 a year. Making that kind of money one can easily save up for a few years to make a big enough down payment to be able to afford the monthly payments and insurance. Regardless of whether the video is fake, with the cuddle rate per hour details in the video and the 25 hour realistic work week mentioned in the OP it's possible.

@wuddleC I’m really not jealous of her because I don’t think that the story is real. My main goal of it was to explain the reality of being a cuddle therapist and to debunk the video. Last year there was other popular content going around that featured “professional cuddlers” that were really sex workers and it led to all of us getting a flood of sexual requests. I get agitated when people pretend to be legitimate cuddle therapists and create a false narrative about our profession and further stigmatize it so I was really just trying to set the story straight. But I honestly don’t care to own a Ferrari.

Don't know if that video is true - didn't watch it. But still, why should this be so shocking? Surprising but not out out of the bounds of reality. Maybe a good cuddler with a loyal a high spending client list makes $500 a day or something, is good at managing their money, and doesn't have too many expenses Who knows what the situation is. Anyway, I guess like any profession you might strike it rich. But still, my gut feeling is someone driving around in a Ferrari is just using the words "cuddle therapist" as a code word for something else.
