Has anybody participated in the ritual of cleansing.

What is it you ask, well it is when a group of people come together to focus there energy to heal a member of the group.
The receiver is placed on a table/shelf/platform they must be very relaxed and comfortable as the ritual can take hours.
they would ware loin cloth and women ware raparound top, leaving as much skin as possible with out the bits.
The group sit around the receiver on the raised area and place there hands on bare skin, so skin to skin contact, if only a few givers, one ring but if more the group expands out each placing there hands on the one to your right and the other on the person in front.
Making a human energy mass, focusing the energy on the receiver.
My first time was in India and the experience, another time. The stories another time.
I would like to know your experiences if any.
Love you John Auckland NZ

  • [Deleted User]Sunflowerfield (deleted user)
I know many religious/spiritual groups, like charismatic Christians, lay hands on people and pray for them to be healed. I think some other religions do this too.
  • @Sunflowerfield, Dear Sunflower, have you ever taken part in this kind of energy focus.
The largest group I enjoyed was about 2000 people focusing on one person, you know how relaxed and refreshed you feel after only a few hours with one cuddle buddy, This was out of this world, I think I slept for about 2 days afterwards.
It was not really religious, it was more, I can not explain it, I also think because it was in such a group all participant's felt safe and very close contact between young, old, men, women, gym bunny's, and not gym bunny's.
The group were from a local area in north India about 3 villages coming together to heal one person, JUST BY THE POWER OF TOUCH.
Love to all John Auckland NZ.

  • Sounds amazing!
  • That sounds incredible john!! :)
I feel the power of people combined with the intention of love is incredible.
I feel my sister and I helped my cat heal with that sort of cleanse when he was incredibly sicky :(
  • Dear All it would be nice to hear other stories, I know they are out there, friends in China,India,Tibet join in, Friends in Europe this practice is Druid, Viking, Greek, roman.
North and south America, you all have this but may be under a different name.
Love to all John Auckland NZ
  • Dear All, Has anybody read the many autobiography's of Mahat Magandi, He was a public pioneer of platonic cuddling, He lay and cuddled with many thousands of people, giving his energy and love.
If he had not been assassinated I do wonder what age he might of lived too.
Love you all John and his trees, Auckland NZ.

This is how I perform my ritual of cleansing.
  • I had never heard of ritual of cleansing, nor of Mahat Magandi before reading this thread.  @funandadventure told me a bit about him and what he did, and he seems like he was an incredible being.  Based on what he has told me about the process, both here and in a PM, this is something I would love to experience.  If anyone is ever interested in organizing an event of this type in my area, please include me!

Mahat Magandi?  Do you mean Mahatma Gandhi?
  • Dear Poonie, There are many spellings and ways of interrupting his name.Mahat Magandi, Mohandas Gandhi, Mahandas Magandi. All are correct but were used at different times in his life.
    John Auckland NZ

  • His full name was Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. He is more commonly called Mahatma Gandhi where "Mahatma" is an title meaning high-souled (exalted, venerable). So Mahatma Gandhi is the linguistically correct one, and this is the first time I've seen "Mahat Magandhi" which is why I failed to recognize him. I've never heard of him being mentioned in relation to platonic cuddling, but I'm aware he had a practice of sleeping (just sleeping, no sex) with naked woman in order to test his vow of chastity by suppressing his sexual urges.
  • @rollypolly, Dear Rolly, you are correct, have you every read some of his writings on the subject of Branmacharya Celibacy.
It makes interesting reading about human touch therapy.
    Love John Auckland NZ.
  • Dear All, Can someone interpret the difference in meaning, between Platonic Cuddling and Celibacy Cuddling.
Thanks John and his trees, Auckland NZ
  • Dear All I have spent some time at Sabarmati Ashram and it was a bit like one big and continous cuddle party in the main hall, With teaching from the master himself. The Ashram/meeting place was started by Gandhi in 1917 and is as strong today as it was when he started it.

  • What are your thoughts on Spontaneous Remission, do you think it is possible, 1 in 100000 patients with Cancer go into full remission and heal with out any medical interference by just change of diet and Touch therapy.
By the way don't take my word for it look it up.
Love you all John and his trees.

I know for a fact that cancer can go into remission with alternative treatment… healing touch included. My father has lymphoma and he followed the Kris Carr -  crazy sexy Cancer program. It sounds weird but it's basically vegetarian/vegan diet making your body alkaline instead of acidic. Cancer thrives in an acidic environment with lots of sugar and stress.  He was diagnosed in 2001 and told that six months to a year was a reasonable expectation. Here it is 2017.

He has had ups and downs, but we did notice there was a very strong correlation between diet and stress and the relapses. When he stuck very close to the alkaline vegetarian/vegan foods and regular massage  he was at his healthiest. Part of the treatment has been Lymphatic massage, I think that also falls into the category of touch therapy.

I was diagnosed with colon cancer two years ago . I underwent a colectomy , and had 18" of my large intestine removed , along with appendix , and some lymph nodes , to remove the cancer .Many tests and scans and biopsies to make sure the cancer had not spread . Lukily it had not spread . The cancer was staged at stage one .  No chemo . No radiation .   Early detection probably saved me some suffering .
I would like to offer some advice to the younger people out there , when you reach your late 40s , talk to your dr about cancer screening , especially if you have had a relative , who has or had a particular cancer , because that increases your risk .
  • Do you know about the placebo effect? The body does have the ability to heal itself, to a certain extent. But cancer is way too serious. 1 out of 100000 is statistically insignificant. Your best bet for avoiding chemo and radiation is early diagnosis, as @sparkyblue-eyes said. Alternative treatments are still uncharted territory.
  • Personally I don't , not with terminal illnesses such as cancer. And I say that with respect to those who do, I am not saying I am right and you are wrong, but this is what I believe.  I do believe certain things can be done as a preventative, and to alleviate certain symptoms but I do not believe it can be cured like that. I liken it to the faith based practice of prayer, which may make one feel better psychologically, but not necessarily impact the disease progression itself. I would like to believe I am wring, however my scope of knowledge of medicine and science is what I base my belief on. Perhaps if there were more evidence based research, I would be open to it.
  • Saw my aunt fall prey to quacks selling alternative treatments for cancer so I don't believe in that stuff.

  • Dear all at least you are all talking about it, better that than side snipes.
    Love you all John.
  • There may not be much, if any scientific evidence of alternative cures for cancer, but there is a lot of anecdotal evidence of various alternative cures.  My youngest brother had liver cancer that spread so quickly, that he died before he was able to start the alternative treatment that he had planned, I really doubt that conventional treatment would have been able to help due to the speed it spread.  My next youngest brother got alternative treatment for his thyroid cancer and is now cancer free.  My wife had endometrial cancer, and had a complete hysterectomy which we think is all that she would have needed, but the doctors, even though they said they were pretty sure they got all of the cancer with the operation, insisted that she get chemo-therapy as a backup.  It nearly killed her, so she stopped it after 5 of the 8 recommended treatments, and she is still suffering from its side effects even though it has been several years.  Based on her experience, reading after the fact that chemotherapy is 98% ineffective, and that there are many cases similar to hers.  I am very anti conventional western medical "treatment" of cancer.  Why on earth would they insist that almost every cancer case receive chemotherapy, when it is only 2% effective?  The answer to that is of course the almighty dollar that the pharmaceutical industry bribes the doctors with.  All of that, along with the many anecdotal stories of cures through alternative treatment, makes me strongly take John's side, that alternative treatment including various touch therapies can be very effective.  Of course if I had cancer, I would use several complimentary alternative therapies, instead of depending on just one.

It's scientifically proven that cancer thrives in an acidic environment.  The over consumption of sugar, animal-based products, processed foods and low quality carbohydrates turns the body acidic. It is  equally scientifically proven that this is the typical SAD "standard American diet"  which turns the body into a playground for cancer. It can be both a cure and prevention, but the environment in which cancer cells are able to grow and thrive is a huge factor.

Maintaining an alkaline diet and low acidic environment in the body is one major factor in preventing and lowering the risk of cancer.

    Its a fact.
  • Simply stated, alternative medicine shouldn't be called alternative, it is generally the most non-invasive safest practice however Western Medline should not be avoided or delayed due to spiritual concerns about Western medicine. It is especially good at getting you out of an acute situation (you just cut off your leg by accident)but not so good with chronic situations that keep coming back. So, get out of whatever acute situation that you are in and then figure out which alternative practice works for you.
  • Dear All, Is it possible to get your thoughts on Platonic Cuddling and Celibacy Cuddling, for many on here the difference is quite Important.
John and his trees, Auckland NZ.
  • I'm none too sure since I've never heard of celibacy cuddling, but I'll give it my best shot.  Platonic implies that love is involved, whereas anyone can be celibate whether they have love involved or not.  That is just based on the words, without having any knowledge whatsoever of the subject of celibacy cuddling.  At least I tried.
