Biggest Pet Peeve

  • Biggest pet peeve is probably when people don't return their shopping cart/carriage and leave them to roll around in the parking lot

  • I'm gonna add onto what @Sooson said. It really grinds my gears when they hand you the ice cream cone then have you wait 5 minutes as it starts melting, forcing you to eat it. Then they start handing you bags, and you got a drippy ice cream in your hands.. sometimes, the ice cream isn't for me.

  • Grown ass men who say "no worries!" JFC, that's such a skinny jeans wearing, hipster thing to say.

  • No worries, @TxTom . I won't say that anymore.

  • @touchstarved87 Ask them to turn the ice cream cone upside down into a cup, and give you a plastic spoon. Then you can put it in your cup holder and forget about it.

@Mike403 😄 Love that little comic strip.

  • @Mike403 How many pairs of skinny jeans do you own? I guess if you say no worries you must have a slim figure according to some people.

  • One of my biggest pet peeves….

Is when I change my location to the area I’m going to visit and instead of someone saying “well let’s see what day and time we can plan for it.” They say, “let me know when you’re here.”

Sir, the entire reason I changed my location a month before being in that specific location is because I’m pre booking sessions.

    That’s just me.

  • @lil_Majestic I agree it can be irksome. Especially when it is a profile that says no same day appointments and to plan ahead.

  • @lil_Majestic - Just agree with him then when the day comes, say "sorry. I'm booked."

  • @SunsetSnuggles this may be splitting hairs, idk. When I order a cone, I expect a cone in hand. In the cup would solve my travel issues, but would kill the experience.

When it's my cone, I don't like being forced to consume it at the window. When it's someone elses.. a cup could work. Because as it stands it's 50/50 on if they will even see it! 😅🤣 (im guilty of eating it and just saying the machine was down to avoid conflict and a mess)

Tip jars at fast food and similar places. I mean, if I go to Starbucks and order a triple-whackaccino with every possible permutation of topping and substitution imaginable, then sure, the employee earned a tip. But if they're pouring a cup of coffee, then no.

Yes, I tip my waitress at Denny's when all I order is coffee, because she's bringing it to me, checking in from time to time, etc. A $4 cup of coffee like that often gets a $3-4 tip for a thoughtful server.

  • Why is it customary to tip the bartender, but not the barista? It doesn't take any more work to pour a beer than a cup of coffee.

  • @touchstarved87 Fo' sho'. Usually you can tip the cone back out and lick it as per normal, with just a little melted in the cup, but it depends on how hot it is and how long the drive home is. 😆

  • @Jubal According to Hal Sparks in his special "Charmageddon," Starbucks doesn't sell coffee, they sell milk shakes.

It's hilarious. I urge you to check it out on the YouTubes.

  • LOL . . . next time I go to a Starbucks, I may ask for a milkshake and see what they do

  • If I really thought about I'm sure I could come up with a list of pet peeves but honestly my biggest especially when it comes to the internet and any site that has a bio section. It drives me crazy when people do not read that section or sections that are like personal writings/posts. I put a lot of thought into my bios on any site I'm on.

  • I like to pet my peeves, don't really have a favorite but they are all soft and fluffy

  • @Mike403
Surprisingly, I went to bartending school. I’m not even a drinker, but I did, and it was fun.
A bartender would know a million recipes (exaggeration) for drinks in their head. Tending bar is more than making a to go order for someone.
I’ve never seen a barista cutting someone off if they’ve had too much coffee. 🤣
Not looking for an argument, but bartending has a lot more responsibility than making a to go coffee for someone.
As far as tipping, I’m not against tipping anyone you want to tip.

  • Why is it customary to tip the bartender, but not the barista?

    There are 69 reasons why.

  • I am petting my peeve all day long

@pmvines~ I hope you bring some of your beloved peeves up this way soon! lol

As someone who has her partner's agreement (and relief) for finding safe, stable Cuddle Buddies, my pet peeve is having someone attempt to draw me into a secretive, questionable situation where their partner has NO IDEA that they are cuddling others. I'm flat-out honest in whatever I do, so I need my Cuddlers to have squared things away on their end, too.

I've had to accept that some people just aren't all that into being squished, squeezed, mashed, and wallowed around on. That's life. However, if that's something a person needs to function at optimum levels, I can understand seeking out cuddles. You just have to establish trust with your partner before engaging me to maul you! lol

  • Hmmm......great topic, difficult too. I suppose my biggest pet peeve is that so many pros, including many who commented in this thread, are peeved by potential clients who operate differently from how the pros prefer. I'll take the "same day request" as an example.....instead of being upset, bothered, or insulted, just accept that many potential clients find themselves both available and in the mood for a spontaneous cuddle on any particular day. Unless your profile clearly states "No same day requests", why should the inquiry be problematic? It may not work for you, but that doesn't make it wrong. I happen to be a spontaneous guy myself and greatly appreciate opportunities for spontaneity. However, I never expect it. Literally never. But I also don't want to be lambasted for having that approach.

I think it's a larger issue in our culture in general. One's own perspective tends to tower above all that view things differently, so much so that the differing viewpoint is often cast as wrong, inappropriate, and/or even insulting. We need to not take things personally, and simply state what works for us, as lovingly and accepting as possible. Even those of you who don't prefer same day requests may find that on a specific day, you may actually welcome a spontaneous session and reach out to either a new inquiry or one from a regular....saying that you too are in the mood.

New attitudes on Love will include a striving for welcoming, understanding, and making space for perspectives that may not be familiar or easy for ourselves......yet deserve consideration at least. I read with great interest all the comments in this forum, helping me to see beyond my own bias, enabling me to welcome perspectives that aren't ones I usually have. Creating inner space for the other to live in our hearts is a practice I cultivate in myself, helping me to shed habits of predictable patterns that keep me from more love and understanding. The cuddling world has been a wonderful exercise facility, so to speak.....allowing me to feel others intimately, to connect, and to do so putting aside my previous agenda. I find myself grateful quite often :)

    I agree with @Rachel_P and @Mama_Bre.

My biggest pet peeve is when a potential cuddler sends a message and it's obvious that they...

    • Clearly did not read my profile at all.
    • Read some of my profile, but ignored the information there.
    • Read some of my profile, but think they can negotiate my hard boundaries with me.

Men, women, pros, clients...we should ALL be reading each other's profiles. There is often valuable information there. If someone is respectful and makes it obvious to me that they've read my profile and agree with/follow what's written there, they're guaranteed a response and quite nearly guaranteed a session.

@beaubliss Regarding the "same day request," I'd like to give you a new perspective. I'd wager most pros are especially bothered by this request specifically from new clients. Vetting someone to make sure they're safe takes time (I'd say at least 24 hours with the back and forth messaging and other job/life responsibilities). If a complete stranger wants us to drop whatever it is we're doing and rush to go meet them in an hour or two without yet having had the time to patiently discuss logistics, safety, boundaries, expectations, etc, that is a huge red flag to many of us. It doesn't take us or our time into consideration and, from my experience, this request is often followed up by other sketchier requests that go against site rules.

Now, if someone I've already cuddled with and have grown to trust messages me last minute for a spontaneous cuddle, I may genuinely consider it. Chances are very high that I've already made plans for that day because I - like many - have a busy life, but in this instance it wouldn't hurt to ask.

  • @CuddleHugs01234 - I wonder how much they get paid at events where they charge an arm and a leg for drinks. I was at an EDM festival where a beer was $15 and a mixed drink was $22. That was before tip.

  • @bekah_cuddles

...we should ALL be reading... There is often valuable information there...

Agree. However, it seems to me that there is little interest in reading, notwithstanding forums like this one.

But more to the point, even amongst readers, there are real problems with reading comprehension.

  • @Mike403 no idea. The festival probably made the most money from it, not the bartender.

  • edited July 2023

@CuddleHugs01234 - I doubt many people felt like tipping with the high prices. Tickets just to get in was close to $300 for the 2-day event.

  • Whenever someone asks me a question that I answer in the negative, or I decline something they're offering, they almost always respond with "no worries."

    I'm not worried.

Why do people keep saying this?

  • The ice cream machine is always broken when I really need a McFlurry.
