  • @bobadevotee I don’t think cuddlecomfort is judging anyone. This is a business and cuddle comfort is making a business and legal decision.

  • @PixiePassions Well stated or not, still misses the point.

  • @bobadevotee fair point. I’m pretty good at handling that stuff now.

  • I’m sad to hear that they’re gone. A lot of them depend on this CC stuff for their livelihood.
    Godspeed!

  • What an interesting thread 🧵 this has become to read 📖 👀!!!

Tasers were mentioned in this thread. I urge everyone to not consider that lightly. Tasers are illegal in some states and require special permits in others. Misuse of a taser can be considered a felony and can lead to serious penalties. Please understand the laws and potential legal consequences before going out and purchasing this or any type of weapon.

  • I fully support tasing creeps at every opportunity @bobadevotee

That is so punk rock. holy shit.

  • First of all, how is that not creep factor for any moderators from this site hunting down users other socials or sites?

Um we don’t do that. We respond to reports.

  • @bear888

"First of all, how is that not creep factor for any moderators from this site hunting down users other socials or sites? Yes, the site facilitates a service but that’s it. There is ZERO rights, privileges, or justifications for anyone from this site to dictate lifestyle, socialization or personal/private/professional endeavors by any pro/enthusiast on this site. Stay in your lane. If there’s something about behaviors precisely pertinent to this site specifically, so be it but mods on here far too often show their tendencies to get too big for their badges. Mod the site, that’s fine, but nobody here mods a person’s life. It’s tough enough the emails & such the pro’s have to wade through. They don’t need lurker mods too.

I think every platform or site has the right to make its own rules and do what it needs to protect it's platform, including Googling or looking into things if they get a red flag or curious, if something is in the public I don't think you can blame people for finding or looking it up. They are also not doing it to harass anyone, they search and if they find something that goes against its rules or guidelines, they are well within their rights to make the decision they deem best for about that person's membership.

Also like someone else said, I too don't think any mods here, who by the way are volunteers, are particularly going out of their own way to look people up. They already have more than enough to deal with I'm sure. Though if there are red flags that they see or people bring it to their attention, then it's within their right to exercise their due diligence to protect their platform. They aren't logging in to anyone's accounts or walking into their homes, they are looking up stuff that's in the public.

If you put things online, odds are they'll be seen and they'll be found. Also if a site says don't join if you are or do xyz and you still join, then that's on 'you' if you get kicked out or timed out for it after being found out you go against its rules in one way or another.

  • @bobadevotee There is a professor at my university who has an OF (a male if it matters) and when it came out it caused somewhat of an up roar. I'm personally glad the university ultimately decided to not intervene. It's has however created an unusual dynamic where students know about said professor's OF, many make a joke of it, but I could see how his OF could potentially create a complicated situation with a student or faculty member. It's interesting to see how society is navigating this brave new world.

Thanks, @Love2Lurk. Knowing the rationale behind rules helps me too.

While OF is a platform that empowers many content creators to take control of their bodies and their content, ultimately allowing them more personal autonomy and freedom to decide who does and doesn’t get to touch them, it is naive to assume that all of the women (and men to a lesser degree) featured there are using the platform “as intended” or that they all there by free choice.

There are definitely escorts and “massage girls” using OF. Also swingers and ENM folks looking to satisfy kinks and increase their hit rate with potential partners. They all get banned when they get reported and caught meeting up with followers for the same FOSTA/SESTA concerns I mentioned above.

@Jackson237, If a website is found to contain trafficked people, they are criminally and civilly liable. If they are found to contain trafficked people and DON’T have an active/aggressive program to police and ban in-person sex work, they are liable with EXTRA PENALTIES for showing reckless disregard for the law.

It sucks when the broad reach of these laws makes it difficult for legit businesses to operate according to their own values. It super sucks that these laws have made independent sex workers less safe by restricting information sharing. But anyone (even those affected agree) that all that sucks less than forced sex slavery—and even worse—child sex slavery.

Wherever there is sex work there will always be pimps and traffickers coercing and physically forcing vulnerable people to engage in it against their best interests and against their will (I make a distinction because there is maybe a small moral difference between exploiting someone in active addiction through coerced sex work vs engaging in actual or threatened physical violence to force people to do SW).

Because of this FOSTA/SESTA implicitly requires all legit sites to aggressively police and ban any and all illegal sex work—because where one exists it is assumed the other will follow. CC goes a step further and bans legal body work too (like selling feet pics) just to make sure the line is bright and clear.

**TLDR: CC and other sites (even OF) must worry not only about the actuality of sex trafficking happening on their platforms, but about the perception that the presence of any sex work (and some types of body work) inevitably lead to traffickers. Failure to police aggressively could lead to increased legal/civil penalties.

  • CC mods:

  • @bobadevotee - You're welcome, and thank you! 🥰 I love yours too!

It should be noted that the rules surrounding OnlyFans and the other sites only applies to pros since they are charging money here. Enthusiasts do not have the same restrictions.

Edit: Please read the comments by @Bella_Sera because she describes it perfectly. I don’t think any of us mods or admins judge or personally care if someone earns an income from those profiles.

  • edited January 22

    @bobadevotee
A lot of the women that I have had to ban that had escort profiles also had OnlyFans pages. Some were also distributing menus offering extras in off-site convos.

  • @CharlieBear - Do the mods check the content of the OnlyFans account before banning? There are some non-sexual pages such as cooking classes, etc...

  • @Mike403 @CharlieBear
Yes, if a report is citing someone having on OF page or other adult content, we do require a link, not just screenshots, be sent in the report to confirm it's the same person and the content breaks the CC site rules to be allowed here.

  • Just curious but why is selling feet pics on only fans bannable?.

  • @Kense - Because it's a sexual fetish. Nobody buys feet pics for any other reason.

I know that @teddybear888 has been banned since posting this comment. I still want to address this.

First of all, how is that not creep factor for any moderators from this site hunting down users other socials or sites?

Anyone who has the notion that our LOVELY VOLUNTEER MODERATORS have ANY desire to "hunt down" people who are breaking terms of service seem to be in my opinion COMPLETELY IGNORANT!!! To use a phrase like "creep factor" just makes me want to vomit.

The moderators have a desire to keep the site a safe place for us.

Can anyone take a moment to reflect about how much time and emotional energy it takes these beautiful souls to respond to all of the flags? How on earth would anyone get the idea that they want to take advantage of their role in that regard? Certainly they are human and imperfect.... There have been some bad apples.... but the CURRENT moderators are superstars and one of the most challenging thing for every single Mod that I have HAD A PERSONAL CONVERSATION WITH is how sad it is to see people being hurt on this site because of users breaking TOS.

    That being said.....

    @CharlieBear @cheeseboy @netrunner @JoyfulHeart @cudbud64 @Babichev and OMGEEEEEE how could I neglect @Shake and @Sideon (even though he's on a break)

THANK YOU FOR GIVING OF YOUR TIME, ENERGY, AND HEART TO HELP CC BE A SAFE SPACE FOR THE CUDDLING COMMUNITY.

If you are new and don't understand how all of the rules work, maybe take time to read through the forums a bit, send a direct message to any of the moderators, hopefully you can get a clear answer about our TOS before bashing the Help.

Thank you mods. As usual... You deserve more love and appreciation than you tend to get.

  • A foot is not a sex organ people get off on all sorts of fetishes. I find that extreme , some people have pics in bikini’s too. Thats not banned. This is a slippery slope and essentially anything could be an offense.

  • @Kense - Bikini pics aren't allowed on this site. If you see one, report it. The mods aren't gods that can detect everything that is happening at once.

  • In summary, you can threaten people with tasers but don't show them pics of your feet.

  • edited January 22

    @Kense
We don’t allow people to use the site to fulfill fetishes, and feet is only one of many that people message asking to do all sorts of non-platonic things to. If you are into feet, that’s fine. Just don’t ask people here to fulfill your sexual fantasies. Please read the rules of the site and if you don’t agree, you are free to go somewhere else.

  • @jplemmon
Pros cannot post feet pics here. They can carry personal protection on them as long as it’s legal to carry.

  • Man I honestly don’t know if I can continue doing this. I don’t think people really understand how horrible it is to constantly read through horror stories of what people here have to go through and then just be dumped on and called creeps and power hungry and all sorts of profane things in the forums, private messages, and appeals just for volunteering your time to try to help a community you love and want to keep safe.

  • @CharlieBear you do an amazing job and those of us who at least half understand are very, very grateful.

From my observations, the people who say such horrible things both to you and in the forum tend to enjoy a level of ignorance which I find quite startling. This thread provides several examples.

With certain of these people there is a strong undercurrent of their being creeps themselves, or at least creep-enablers. In other words, the very people you are protecting us from.

  • There are those usomg CC FOR REASIBS UYT WAS not intrnded gor.

@CharlieBear - It comes with the role of being a moderator on a site that involves banned people. Nobody likes being banned so they are going to lash out to try to heal their bruised ego. I'd just roll my eyes and not care what they say especially if they were banned for being a creep to other members.
