When I read these posts--I sometimes feel like we are in the middle of the Olympics----a session may not result in the award of a medal-----but at a minimum gratitude should always be expressed after a pleasant platonic session

@starrynitecuds It’s after two sessions booked on-site. If someone says that and they don’t have a repeat-client badge displayed in a pro’s karma, then they are most likely admitting to booking off-site.
For anyone else reading this (especially pros) It’s really on the pro to tell the client to book through the site. Pros of course want to avoid paying the fee, but clients will try because they are more confident in getting away with misconduct if they can get a pro to break the rules by booking off-site. I have zero financial stake in this and enforcing that rule as a mod is simply because it’s a rule the admins require pros to follow (that is how they earn their money from the site). That being said, there is no reason for a client to push for this unless they are deliberately trying to break the rules. If they get scammed they are s*** out of luck cause there’s no booking to reference. Also booking on-site means the pro and client have both accepted the booking agreement. Stay safe and don’t risk getting banned over it.
@CharlieBear I am playing devil’s advocate here, but what if you meet a pro at a meet and greet and decide to have a paid session afterwards? What say ye? A defiance of the rules or just two adults arranging it face-to-face? And what if an enthusiast on here decides to be a pro at a meet and greet?
Hasn’t happened to me but curious as I like to think of all situations.

@TheFunCartel Personally I don’t care. Though as a mod, if it was reported, it would be actionable. A warning is typically issued, and repeat offenses result in a ban. The admins require any pro that meets someone through this site to book using the booking panel, and to only use this site to book going forward. Now it’s no secret that pros will want to book off-site after contact info is swapped, but many will find out that boundary-pushers play nice the first session or so and once off-site booking happens…well, there are a lot of reports of misconduct as a result. And I am sure even more go unreported because a pro is afraid because then they have to admit to booking off site.
Us mods only respond to reports. If people want to break the rules, they are gonna do it. But I advise booking on-site and keeping convos on site to make it soooo much easier to ban for misconduct.
Also this site only exists because of the fees generated by pro sessions, so if all pros only book once and then book off-site every time after, this site won’t exist.
@CharlieBear Thank you. I think the gray areas are interesting. So pros, even though a meet and greet is not a CC sponsored event, are subject to the rules as if the meet and greet were on the site?
Yeah. I mean the meet & greet was arranged on the site. It is a grey area, and one I know the admins have considered since they allow us to arrange those despite that case from most likely happening. They also give us mods the freedom to choose how to handle it if it is reported.

I think it is the responsibility of the pro to arrange that. While I am skeptical of a client’s intention, they honestly may not realize that’s even a rule. Well…except when they explicitly say they want to help the pro out so they don’t have to pay the fee. How kind of them… funny how so many reports we see about misconduct start off with that as the message a client sends via text. Oof 😓
