So I'd like a little insight as to why individuals that are seeking cuddles from pros refuse to use vendors, cashapp, ect.
Due to anonymity I am told. So let's paint a picture, I always host, I've just invited you into my home and you are worried about that? I kinda have to laugh a the hypocrisy. But no seriously what's the deal? It's faster and easier for those receiving the money and are required to pay site fees.

No idea. Most of the pros whose profiles I have looked at ask for cash. It could be an anonymity thing, I guess, given the number of people I have seen on here who refuse to show IDs.

For myself, two reasons, and it's not about maintaining anonymity.*

1) I have established relationships with Pros with whom I pay in cash. So I don't feel the need to establish a new financial link just for someone new.

2) As I already touched on, in this age of cybercrime, I don't want to add the vulnerability of yet another financial link. I trust my Pros, just not necessarily the Apps and associated vendors that would be handling the transaction.

Edit: * I host approximately 90% of my cuddles at my house. The rest are hosted by my Pros.

I'm set up to pay with Zelle and PayPal but not even once was i asked to pay in any other way but cash.

I don't have a dog in the fight but personally when it comes to paying for things I don't have the different cash apps etc , just credit debit or cash for me

In best case scenarios, There's probably a significant other keeping an eye on all those transactions, and you can make your own judgement how to handle that.
I also host, and anonymous people are not allowed in my house. You have to be willing to say no thank you.

I have no idea. Personally, I would only pay in cash if I were to cuddle with a pro (not my modus operandi). It has nothing to do with anonymity. I just prefer cash. I don't even have accounts with the other methods. If I was to cuddle with a pro, I would select one who accepts cash. If she didn't, I would select a different pro. Every pto is free to make that decision for themselves, just as each client is. Here in CA dome establishments are no longer accepting cash (for safety reasons and convenience). I won't do business there.

At the end of the day, the pros are in a business providing a service. Most businesses will bend to the demands of the potential clients. It's all about the free market. Not right or wrong, just choices.

I just don't have these accounts. I don't want these accounts. Credit card is my main method in life. Cash as needed. If its not one of these, I move on. I have ennough other accounts and passwords in life I don't want anymore.

And in my mind, a higher qualified pro will be flexible on terms and host (or arrange to host). Appreciate you hosting.

Not an issue for me as I don’t pay deposits (no disrespect meant toward those who charge them, that is completely between them and their clients).

I had a PayPal (who also owns Venmo) account several years ago but deleted my account after they pulled some shady stuff then formally lied about it in a press release. Today I do not use any cash app type service.

However, if a pro really wanted to be paid electronically, I would pay with a “1 time use” credit card to any service that accepts credit cards.

I use pros. I will ONLY use cash to pay. If a pro asked me to use one of those, I would say no. I don't care how secure those sites can be, I'm not sending a stranger electronic funds for this kind of transaction.

Great feedback! I'm just so curious I have family who send money for my son's birthday and things like that through these types of apps. So I was wondering why all the pushback. I'm ok with cash. But it does make things harder on my end. Because I then have to walk to make deposits.

@Janelle19 I don't know what you are not getting honestly. Don't you think there's a difference between getting CashApp funds from family you know and trust than from strangers paying for a service that people feel is sketchy and really not normal? And if the BIGGEST burden for you is you have to....walk... to make the deposits. I would say that isn't the end of the world.

I have a serious question: If you have to walk to make a deposit, do you at least walk like an Egyptian ? Like to make the process a little more enjoyable ?

As a pro, I accept cash, Venmo and cashapp for cuddles. My PayPal and Zelle are more linked to my personal life so I might only use those for repeat clients that I trust with my government name. A Venmo business account can be set up to accept credit cards by tapping the phone with the chip. Pretty cool. If a client wants me to book and pay for a hotel room for their session I would need the funds to be paid to me first, either with Venmo or cash. If I am collecting a deposit, electronic transfer methods are hella convenient. I only do this if there is significant travel involved, has only happened twice in my year of cuddling.

My spidey sense starts tingling when a client wants 100% of the risk to be borne by me, and is willing to bear none of it themselves. Financial risk, privacy risk, safety risk, etc. cuddling involves a certain amount of trust…a willingness to meet halfway and find solutions that suit both parties. I understand if you like cash only and most of the time that works great. But if a client starts talking about how he is concerned that I might steal from him or scam him or otherwise do him harm…seems kind of tone deaf as I will literally be lying next to him in a bed. This seems like a combative way to start a cuddle relationship. Hopefully good karma can put some nerves at ease about these worries.

In conclusion. Pay how you want. Accept consequences if your pro doesn’t find it compatible.

@Janelle19 while i understand your issue. It makes sense you are inviting them to your home and that is a level of trust you are providing them. But there are other issues that could come with using these platforms. It may not be you that will or could manipulate the platform but it can happen. There are several scenarios that could make folks vulnerable and just having a blanket policy to protect yourself is fair. Risk is involved with everyone involved and i personally don't think any risk is more important than the other. You have to protect yourself from all. I for one use cashapp, but it's because i don't have it attached to anything that can affect me long term. But some people have it attached to bank accounts, i think people have direct deposits going to them. One little Miss step and that could affect them for days and weeks, it could financially crush some people. It's a risk some won't take and if they miss an opportunity they are ok with it. I have never used Venmo or the others because the only way i know how to get to them is through my primary bank, i won't ever do that it's just me, and I've managed to be fine without it.

Also there is an electronic trail of what you are doing. If you are trying to keep these activities private you'd not want to build that trail. Whether it's illegal or not, you protection of your privacy and information is in you. There are something you just can't do in order to protect certain things.

Th ere are some people who have been appointed or elected to certain positions and because of their cashapp trails will not hold those positions. Whether you think it's right or wrong, but if i was running for governor and it was discovered i was paying cuddle with let's say a communist, it probably derailed my hopes and dreams. I'd have to explain why i was cuddling a communist or id have to explain why i was paying to cuddle. Many people on here might not have an issue with any of that but to the wide scope of my state, I'm not sure.

For me it is just not liking the apps. I had a former client for my consulting business who insisted on paying me through one app that I didn’t want to use but I did it anyway because she was the client and there was a lot of money involved. Then she switched to a different app and wanted me to follow her to the new app (that I also didn’t want to use). When I finished all my work for her I deleted both apps.

My latest client is a much larger organization than I have ever worked for before and they only pay through Ariba so I am now using that but I still haven’t put the app on my phone.

I'm like Fred Flintstone with that stuff. No fancy apps, no electronic banking, no high tech 1200 dollar phone,.just a 150 dollar android with a Walmart family mobile plan (unlimited talk text and data for 35 bucks can't beat that ). Hell I don't even have a single social media account, unless you count this and City Data social media.

Only one I have used is PayPal to pay my child support, because it is more convenient for my ex than a paper check. Also, these days, paper checks are not recommended due to the amount of mail theft going on.

I am not clear on the hate for Deposits. They are great either etranfer or app based.

@Janelle19 --- I have no idea about integrity of your clients but I would like to share an issue that affected me that only tonight---did I understand the cause of the issue. On occasion--I have used pay services unsuccessfully -- and always thought the paysite was the issue because my bank account balance is always more than satisfactory. So--I blamed the paysite for the issue and avoided PROs requiring a deposit because of my personal experience with them---the request for a deposit is extremely responsibly---but what was frustrating was the unwillingness to accept other methods of payment like an old fashioned wire transfer--therefore opportunities were missed. This past month--I started to note that my the last PNC bank card I was using was declining payment for some of my autopay accounts--I use the card for all payments---as I mentioned--I always maintain an adequate balance. As time progressed---outside gas payments using the card were being declined---subsequently the problem grew worse---I finally determined it had to be the bank card y after my experience tonight--where it was like rolling the dice on all my transactions tonights--where the card only worked 40% of the time. By offering an alternative when the client claims their card is not working--you take away clients excuses. Just a thought.

My experience as a pro was kind of the opposite because I wanted to be paid in cash only. But quite often a client would want to pay using PayPal, cashapp or Venmo.
I felt there was too much opportunity for them to scam me so I usually said - Sorry, cash only & at the beginning of the session. Otherwise declined.
There were a couple of exceptions when I agreed to it for logistics reasons but only with cashapp because my actual name or bank account wasn’t visible in my setup. PayPal uses my personal email so that’s a no. Venmo is linked to my checking account so that’s also a no.
When doing virtual sessions I would accept Cashapp payment a few minutes before the actual session began. Then I would transfer it to my own bank account. This was during the free, unpaid beginning 15 minutes of the session (screening, getting acquainted).
Taking precautions, mutual trust and being very careful all contributed to not being scammed.

ETA I once read here about clients scamming the pro by using PayPal or Venmo and then immediately after the session getting a refund, that’s why I wouldn’t take a chance.

I usually prefer to use an app so I don’t have to always stop for cash. I only keep cash on hand for tipping a waitress or for a delivery.

I lean towards cash. I'm not an app person in general, I don't see paying the fees many change since I don't need things like purchase or dispute protection, and I can see that these might actually be abused like others said above. And everything is so monetized and privacy invaded these days, I don't like feeling the product being sold to ad brokers and who knows what else. I've had my identity stolen so many times I feel like I have lifetime free credit monitoring, and the apps are just another attack vector to my finances to be compromised.

I get the trust argument and maybe it helps that in my cuddles so far I've been the host, so it's maybe a little better that I have nothing (or less) to hide about my life.

I do think quite a few people are cuddling in secret and want to use cash to keep it that way. The whole feeling of deception just feels creepy to me but I know it doesn’t bother everyone. The paper trail might reveal activities to an SO.
Many here have a “Don’t ask, don’t tell” policy.
