I just finished reading Attached and I think at one point I did start reading The art of giving and receiving but never finished it. I should probably go back to that one.

Hmmm, well I guess there is a book (in fact it's the first book in a series) which I have always intended to read, but somehow it's eluded me... A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula Le Guin ... Not sure whether anyone would also be interested to read it, but I would be totally motivated to if it became a possible book-club book at some point!

@SensitiveHippy the Earthsea series is fantastic - I absolutely recommend! However, I am trying to keep this particular club focused on cuddle-adjacent topics rather than on purely reading for pleasure. Perhaps someone will be up for hosting a fiction book club 🙂 I unfortunately don't have the time & energy to run two lol

I appreciate you doing all of this work to facilitate a meeting time and also be around and available even if no one shows up. I know you asked for a reality check....
I can't make ALL of the meetings but I can make a few of them. I am also feeling a struggle to read it as fast as the course you are creating but I still love talking about the concepts. I know you will make sure that you do what is the best for you and the group but I am very grateful you are willing to do this on any level. 🦋🧚♀️🎉
@EVERYONE This book has been amazing so far. I have heard a lot about this process and the theory has been explained to me on multiple occasions for cuddle parties and conversations, but I have experienced a welcome suprise about HOW MUCH is in the book and it is having a great impact on my life separate from just "boundaries and consent regarding cuddles." It is such a fabulous book and I'm grateful for the opportunity to share it with others.
I appreciate the effort put in to coordinate as well and I can honestly say that The only work I have put in so far is purchasing the book. Lame I know.
Personally the only date that works for me is the 21st. Every book club I’ve ever done we are given the book and have one meeting at the end of the month to discuss it, and I suppose I haven’t adapted to treating this one like a course. I would love to do more check ins but I don’t have bandwidth for that at this moment. The 26th I am hosting my own personal book club that day at nearly the same time, so my goal is to have everything finished and ready to discuss by the 21st❤️
Again thank you I have much admiration for the thoughtful planning and attention to detail and great communication surrounding this book club. I can say from last experience that July is always my worst attended book club of the year for all of the book clubs I’ve ever been in. So perhaps it is a timing issue with summer travel and such🌻
