Nerves

Hello all ☺️ I’ve just signed up for this and I’m nervous! Does anyone have any positive stories to calm my nerves?
I have worked in care for a long time and I’m about to graduate as a physiotherapist so I’m very used to physical touch with ‘strangers’. I think I just worry about being new and wanting to provide a good service, also potential for people to overstep boundaries and how to respond in that situation.
I feel like this is just a needing to take the plunge situation hopefully 😬

  • Welcome to the site, @LittleLilly !

Nerves in a new situation are completely understandable! One of the ways you can help ease them is to do as much "homework" as you can in advance, as being well-prepared helps you focus on next steps instead of anxieties.

I highly recommend everyone (especially new users and pros) read through the site TOS, the FAQ, the Help Center articles, the contracts for pros & clients, and all the stickied threads in the General and Pro Cuddling forums.

I also recommend that all new pros look up their local ordinances & state laws regarding running a small business, and federal & state tax laws. Ignorance of the laws unfortunately doesn't protect you from consequences of breaking them.

There's a wealth of information here in the forums, especially in the two pros-focused forums. Take some time to read through them and you'll find answers for most of your questions! Of particular note for new pros is learning how to properly vet clients for safety & compatibility.

Speaking from my own experiences - just "taking the plunge" without adequate preparation is a recipe for bad experiences. The more you know before, the more boundaries you have in place for yourself, the more you have set policies & procedures for clients; the smoother an experience you'll have. Professional cuddling can be incredibly rewarding when we take the time to prepare ourselves before diving in!

  • Thank you very much that’s really helpful! I have been reading through the policies and rules etc, and trying to read through different discussions/articles. I’ve already had a few messages wanting to go straight to other apps so I’m avoiding those and fingers crossed I come across some nice folk on here ☺️
