I wish I could find the color some where, I love it I have a tattoo on my arm of two cats sitting on a celtic love knot and then I have a moon and stars behind my ear. I know what you mean, placement is a big part of it.

@Keira I was not offended by the initial post you made where you proclaimed tattooed mothers are better moms—I am not a mom. I just shook my head at another proclamation made without basis. I am offended when you are upset by people taking your words for exactly what you wrote and then trying to backtrack your position and say you did not compare. You did and people are not stupid.

I explained several times that I was simply giving tattooed women a compliment. It's seriously ridiculous that people are offended by this as if women with bare skin are the minority here. And go ahead and be offended. The world isn't all rainbows and unicorns. If you're offended by something as insignificant as this I highly suggest you stay off basically every social media site for your own mental well being.

It is common for humans to state their beliefs as fact (like "women with tattoos are even better moms than women without tattoos"), then backtrack if they realize that their statement wasn't terribly well-received. Maybe I was wrong, they think, maybe I made too strong a claim.
When this happens, they'll often try to retreat without retreating—for example, by saying something like "I really don't think it makes a huge difference either way," which allows them to do this human thing called 'saving face'. I still believe women with tattoos make better mothers, they may rationalize to themselves, I just don't think they're much better mothers. It doesn't make a huge difference, just a small one.
This may seem illogical, but when you consider that emotion is a powerful force in humans, it becomes more understandable why they'd be willing to take such unreasonable measures to avoid feeling like idiots.
It is much harder to avoid feeling like an idiot when you admit that you've made a baseless claim or contradicted yourself or done some other irrational thing. Saving face is an important part of human culture. We may as well just let them get on with it—as you say, people are (for the most part) not stupid enough to not notice a blatant backtracking. It's just not polite to point it out, because that makes it difficult for the backtracker to feel good about themselves.

I don't view any of those as negatives. I know my personal look is boring and traditional but I'm not someone who expresses himself through physical appearance / clothing, etc. If a woman (or man) wants to express her/himself via hair color, tattoos, piercings, etc. it's all good in the neighborhood.

@Keira A celtic love knot? I can certainly appreciate the symbolism. That's the kind of tattoo I'd probably get with a life-partner, if my workplace didn't strongly discourage tattoos and if I had the money to throw around. And if I had a life-partner

It's a very human thing to do. and in this age of internet? It should go without saying. My stance on tattoos and hair color is just like Brant76. All moms impress me very much, it takes a special kind of love, patience, and preservance for those who take on motherhood. Thank you to all Mothers who put in the effort for their kids!
