Oof, yeah this ain't it chief. It's borderline fetish-y behaviour and would be offputting to pros and enthusiasts alike. Based on the answers here, some people don't care, but a majority of people would be creeped out by it. I don't suggest you say something like this.

@notcuddledyet In my opinion you should drop the whole ceremony, and pledge idea. It does sound like it could be considered as you being a bit infatuated with the female cuddler or as having some kind of fetish. Just stick with " I enjoy cuddling with you so much that I'm going to continue cuddling with you" and you should be fine.

Super unhealthy boundaries. Even if you have known a pro for a long time. If it has stayed a professional relationship this whole time then it still will. So your desire for all physical touch to come from the pro only seems extreme. It also seems like you might not understand the boundaries between yourself and them.
Either way that would not be an acceptable situation for me.

I would be super creeped out if anyone even started to hint at that kind of behavior. It showcases a huge lack of boundaries and enough of a threat of controlling/jealous behavior that I might actually try to refer them to talk to a professional not cuddler to sort out where that desire is coming from.

The described scenario sounds like the prelude to an awful reimagining of Stephen King's Misery or Dean Koontz's Intensity. I'd block anybody who suggested something like this and would probably consider moving cities.

I know this is an older thread, but I want to say that an actual pro would gently turn down that request and say that they want you to be feel free to get touch elsewhere if you have the opportunity. Especially since they probably aren’t able to fulfill all of your touch/connection needs. I could also see someone (depending on context/your relationship) being scared of your reaction if/when they declined the request. I think this is where some of the negative reactions are coming from on this thread (which I don’t agree with shaming you) Something to think about; I have a friend that’s worked putting away sex traffickers, pimps, and child molesters. Doing this they’ve also worked closely with prostitutes. There are men out there who when they pay women for intimacy, they belief they completely own them... there are also men who get to a point of obsession with a woman that they’d rather kill them than see them with someone else. I’m not at all implying this is you (I don’t even agree with shaming you) but simply pointing out that the talk of commitment (even though it’s one way) might bring up some red flags/fears about this type of behavior. It’d probably be good to think about where the desire for commitment comes from. A therapist who understands attachment could be a good resource. Someone brought up that is typical fetish behavior. I’m not versed in that, but it could be worth looking for advice in a kink community if that might be the case. Of course maybe your cuddler just means a lot to you and you’re struggling for a way to articulate that. That in itself might be helpful to express to them and is completely normal. Lastly to reiterate; It’s really healthy to get connection and contact from multiple people and a true pro (kink things that I don’t understand aside) would encourage this.

@Leonora you're right !! It's funny how things can change in our thought process literally overnight sometimes. A few months ago the idea of this to most female pros was not only creepy but borderline against TOS for some of them. Now with the state of the pandemic there's pros Im sure that are actively seeking this type of setup if they're going to start in person cuddling again. Minus a whole ceremony or over the top pitch of the idea of course.
