I love tattoos π I got my first one randomly on my 30th birthday and have grown a collection since then! The first is musically inspired behind my right ear. The rest all have a story. I have 8 in total with several more ideas for the next ones!
My step mom has a few small tattoos but hers all have meaning so do mine the one i showed is for the dog i had for years i havnt been able to find someone to do his name they keep refusing to his name is to "hard" to tattoo and the date he was born and died
I once read a story about a real life βQuincy MEβ he mentioned that most of the bodies brought to his morgue , which were the result of violent deaths , usually were tattooed.

Having worked in a morgue once upon a time (janitor) can confirm, however I would wager the situation is somewhat different these days as tattoos are far more widely accepted on a societal level as opposed to mostly military, gang members, bikers, and other assorted "hard core" types
I have two, my left upperr says BEAST in blue ink, its faded to a rather cute tealish color over the years.
I didn't choose it in the way back days I was big, nerdy and had a tendency to dye my hair dark blue, so my nickname became beast (though I had one oddball friend who called me Hank lol) I just woke up with it the day after my 24th birthday, cuz those are the kind of friends I have lol. They had decided that since it had figuratively been a part of me most of my life it should remain so LITERALLY forever.
Second one is an unfinished stick and poke I leave on my right upper arm as a reminder of why I don't party like that anymore...

In the UK around 30% of 18-35 year olds have at least one tattoo. Over the adult population as a whole it's somewhere north of 20%. In some jobs, having a tatto is now a significant advantage when it comes to being hired.
Terms like "tramp stamp" are not only offensive, but demonstrate that the user is out of touch. They also suggest that the user is ignorant of the history and cultural significance of tattoos. They have no place on this forum.
I don't yet have any myself, but that's only because I've never felt the need. I've always liked a nice tattoo. Some really good ones on this thread.
I want one... and have the design... now I just need someone with a steady hand, who's skilled at the art of jailhouse/prison yard stick-and-poke to do it for me (because that's the look I like). I broke a pen the other day and almost did it myself but it pooled into a goopy mess and was everywhere before I could find a needle... π

@aurora_cuddler I was trying to take the insides of a regular ballpoint out, to put into the barrel of another pen that's super cute (well it was until ink was everywhere) but I pulled too hard and the tip came off ~ Yay fountain pen! π Boo ~ big mess!!π±

I absolutely love tattoos, good and bad. I got my first one as soon as I turned 18 and its a watercolor portrait of my childhood cat. I now have over 20 and Im getting a matching tattoo w my cousin next week π₯°
Depends on the quality, composition, and meaning. I have the first and probably last one, which I got in summer 2007. It says:

As a massage therapist I see tattoos all day. I can never comment on them if I want to keep it professional. I never felt the urge. I've watched people get tattooed, and I wasn't too keen on going through that process. I got rid of hep C after having it for almost a third of a century, so my liver hasn't forgiven me for that. I'm not going to surprise it with a bunch of weird dye chemicals. Done with any kind of needles!
I love my first tattoo I had it planned since I was 15 and got it very shortly after I turned 18. It has my parents and sisters name on it as well as a compass because my family means the world and they will always lead me to home. I now have 6 technically 7 but one is covered up because it was poorly done.
Here is the thread where an opinion for or against tattoos is welcome. The dream tattoo thread is not the place to crap on tattoos. Respect the tattoo enthusiasts!
