If pointing out that being a TV critic does nothing to serve their fellow man helps others in society see the error of their ways, then there is merit in that. It does good actually.

I've already explained how watching TV does nothing to help one's fellow man and that it makes people lazy, turning them into TV and film critics who do nothing to advance society. TV has become increasingly sophisticated, popular, and more political since the the early 70's, when America started adding consistently and significantly to the national debt that had come mostly from World War II deficit spending from two and a half decades before.
Pray tell. Then we should shut down higher education because with higher education has come increased spending ever since the GI Bill after WWII. By golly I cracked the code!
I think there should be a Gestapo-like brigade of people who wear brass knuckles, and that their sole purpose would be to find persons who whistle in public and punch them in the throat.

The national debt didn't increase all that much after WWII because of the GI Bill. It wasn't until the 1970's that the national debt began to increase significantly and consistently, not after WWII.

Sure, once the debate is settled and that the popular causes of the national debt like TV watching, lower taxes, and federal spending on social programs that only breed more federal spending in the future are made clear. I've defended my points with great clarity and have done so repeatedly.

Politics don't matter in the least these days. Diamonds are worthless shiney rocks. Pro sports are the modern answer to Romes Coliseum. In the grand scheme of things no lives matter. The cuter an animal is the better it tastes.
