Awww, I just opened this thread for the first time. It started on the first page, which was full of pictures of delicious meals and settings from the times @MissAdventurous hosted for friends in 2019. It's such a stark reminder of how everything changed since March. There's nothing like getting together with friends for a meal. :(

  • @squeakytoy - During the first week of me discovering this thread, I had to keep replacing computer monitors due to me taking bites out of them. I had to remind myself to not open this thread before I've eaten.

    @Mike403 That's a mood :joy:

  • Got just got a new range to replace my '70s model. The first thing I cooked in it? Steak and a baked potato of course.

  • Fresh wings out of the air fryer and tossed it in Xtra Red Hot and Habanero Tabasco sauce.

  • @MissAdventurous how did you learn how to cook? Do you watch diners / drive-ins / & dives ? Also you should definitely consider starting a YouTube channel & an ig page to go along with it ... you even have a garden with actual foods & herbs !!! It’ll be successful with time & I want my 20% lol πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚

@introvme I have considered a platform for others to see a little more into my life.

I love to garden, cook, decorate inside and out... It could be fun interaction. I don't know how popular it would be but hey what's wrong with talking to oneself in the depths of the web right πŸ˜‚

    I taught myself everything.
I continue to teach myself each day
It's kind of the meaning of my life.
To be a better person, so I can be that person for myself first, then for others in my life.

Cassandra literally means "giver of mankind"

I left home at 17 with two jobs already, graduated both highschool and college on my own by 19 and have been working towards being well rounded in things I never knew how to do before. Like when you plant carrots, how to can things, what to do when you're making a little bubble and squeak to how to litigate, to drive a car, deal with negative emotions, ect....pushing 30 this summer, I can't wait to see what else it to learn.

I really never got much of a childhood as being the eldest living on the poorer side of things in the beginning, I raised my siblings most of the time, so sometimes things that I could've learned, weren't in my grasp.

But hey. I can make a mean meal, resilient in ways most people wouldn't see on the surface with me, and try to cultivate a kindness and understanding of the grey areas of the world.

  • @Mike403 I bet they were delicious.
@Honeyluv that looks like it was amazing! I've never made something like that but I think I should.

  • Coconut plum dessert πŸ˜‹

I love that you got to enjoy it from the beginning thread. I miss hosting so much whistful stare off into the distance.... πŸ˜‚

  • @MissAdventurous i just finished reading your story (thank you for sharing with me) I’m really impressed !!! You’re such a spiritual soul ... I highly recommend that you do a YouTube channel (not limited to cooking but like you mentioned , gardening , interior design a decor & overall knowledge/ learning & sharing) but plz at the very minimum do an ig page (don’t do it with the focus of gaining a lot of followers , they will come naturally overtime) you have a lot to offer 🌌 the world is waiting 🌎 πŸ’•
