I've been hearing people talk about insights the pandemic has brought them and resulting vows to keep some of the gifts of it... such as, wow, I so love more time at home, I think I'll keep spending more time at home even when I don't have to. Or, wow, I love telecommuting (or having sessions on Zoom or meetings or whatever), I think I'll keep doing that even after we can gather together in person again. Or, wow, it's been healing to not be around other people wondering what they are thinking about me, I think I'll continue to not be around people and cut that stress right out of my life.
Personally, I halted all my travel and my work has gone online. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, it's been awesome. If someone had suggested I do that pre-pandemic, I would have scoffed at it. But having been forced into it, I'm realizing some wonderful benefits -- like my plants get regularly watered, and I'm transforming with all this yummy home time.
How about you? Any lessons from the pandemic that might result in a lifestyle change for you?
