For reasons we won't go into here, I don't have parents in my life and haven't for many years. As such, I have missed out on the little pearls of wisdom that parents share with their kids, and am still learning as I go.
I'll share a couple of things I learned recently to get us started:
- Don't accept criticism from someone you wouldn't go to for advice
- Keep an emergency bag in your car, especially in winter and on longer trips.
- Shave in the direction of hair growth
- When tidying up, use the TIO method- Touch It Once. Don't keep moving it around.
So, forumites, what advice do you think is too good to keep to yourself? What did your parents teach you that you want to pass on?
Can be life hacks, affirmations, stuff that seems obvious but might not be obvious to everyone.
