@jay20211 uh, @DarrenWalker did not have to Google anything. The paper you posted clearly shows his credentials. He is a DVM—a veterinarian. I guess instead of getting the vaccine he will neuter you against Covid.

If you personally don't want to get vaccinated, don't believe in vaccinations, or you've googled something and you know more than immunologists and REPUTABLE virologists, you might want to take a hard pass on this and any other thread here. If somehow you've been living in a cave the last year and have no idea the magnitude and gravity of a world-wide pandemic, I assure you that getting kicked from the forums is the LEAST of your concerns. My one feeling has zero tolerance for misinformation and willful ignorance.
I'm signed up for a Pfizer study on 04/01. Double-blind study. I'll receive either the current vaccination, OR 50% chance I will receive the powder format that is easier to transport, distribute, mix into a liquid, and store at regular refrigeration levels. My second dose is scheduled for 04/22.

I think yes. Especially given the fact many vaccines shed within a certain amount of time after having them. This new vaccine is mRNA, No telling what you could be shedding or for how long, as it's literally creating new message in the DNA.

I think vaccination status should not only be added to profiles, but should have its own dedicated field for entry and searching! Options could be: yes complete, yes and waiting for 2nd dose, no

@MrPaul I really like that idea too! I'm sure as heck adding it to my profile when I'm vaccinated. A searchable vaccination status field would be amazing.
@MrPaul nope .... I have feelings about people being coerced to publicly post personal or sensitive medical info because after all that’s what a vaccination is of any type. If you want to share that in private with a potential cuddler have at. But I don’t think it needs to be or should be a searchable field and certainly not something that someone should have to fill out on a profile.
@hugonehugall: Are there any required fields in the profile? Been too long since I set mine up—I'm pretty sure most of the fields are optional.
Like, you don't have to tell people what your relationship status is, or your favorite movie, or your body type, or even finish the "I like to cuddle while..." sentence. They're just options.
@DarrenWalker when I say coerced what I mean is quality people being passed over by potential cuddle partners or people not reaching out to them because they choose not to publicly post that info. They may feel like even though it’s not a “ mandatory “ field to fill out if they want people to reach out to them or return their inquiries they could feel pressured to post that info even though they’re not comfortable doing so.

That seems like a grand idea. Not only because the pandemic is...you know, a pandemic that can affect everyone, but also because it would likely incline science deniers and crazy people to go elsewhere. Or, at the very least, they'd be more visible at a glance.

Look, no one's forcing you to use any of the profile fields, are they? You can totally skip the religion one, or the drinking one, or whatever, if you want to.
Sure, not giving that info might make some folks skip over you. (There are, for instance, people who go, "Nothing in the 'religion' field? They must be godless and unsafe!") So what? There are still plenty of people who won't care, and—this is the key point—no one's forcing you to fill out anything.
Edit: No matter how pressured you feel to improve your chances by giving better information.
I would point out that the OP asked whether it was appropriate or not to put your vaccination status on your profile. It was suggested this might be another optional field. It’s a reasonable question to ask because that question is going to be important to a lot of cuddlers. It would save time for everyone if one could easily sort those who have from those who have not. That’s not coercion. No one is required to do anything. It is reasonable to want to protect one’s health, especially in the face of a pandemic.
Words have meaning. Calling something coercion when it is not starts muddying the meaning of words. It also dismisses the experience of people who undergo real coercion.
There is so much misinformation about the vaccine. When did they stop teaching basic science literacy in school? Our education system is failing us.
@Sideon - that is fascinating. I did not know they were testing such a thing.
I’ve had a couple of friends who were in the vaccine trials. Because of my age and a respiratory condition, I would not have qualified nor would it have been a good idea for me to volunteer, but I’ve been in about two dozen studies. None of them were testing any drugs. Some had to do with memory, things like that.

@hugonehugall I believe I understand your feelings about adding vaccination status as a searchable field. You fear that people will feel peer pressure to disclose it, and that they will be potentially overlooked depending on it. I actually agree about both points you make.
As @DarrenWalker and @Babichev have already stated, fields are optional. You have a choice. You are not being coerced. The peer pressure you feel can be real to you, but that’s your own feeling to personally deal with.
Why do you think that your choice to not disclose vaccination status should prevent others from exercising their personal freedom to disclose it or make decisions based on it?
How do you feel about being passed up because of the existing searchable fields of gender, status, orientation, and ethnicity?
Would you agree we all have the human right to choose who we associate with based on our own preferences?
