Age verification

I have noticed that there are many cuddlers who indicate that they are 18 years old. How is this verified and how can we be sure that they are nit underage?

    I suppose you could request like the day before meeting if she would show you an ID to verify her age when you show up?

    If public then I wouldn't be as worried. Otherwise, probably best to avoid getting with an 18 year old if you're pretty concerned or much older than 18 yourself. Also you can ask in messaging especially when you exchange something like a phone number or on the site how old she is just to make sure. Sometimes a person may lie on their profile and say something else in messaging.

    Edit: This is for enthusiasts. I don't know about pros.

  • @bogeyman

    You're 65. You shouldn't be meeting 18 year old girls.

    @rj88

    On a platonic cuddling basis, why not?

    What does age matter, assuming everyone is a consenting adult?

  • edited July 2021

    @rj88 just an fyi, it is against the pro requirements to discriminate based on age if both parties are 18 or older. 18 is considered an adult. Though enthusiasts can be more picky about age. So older enthusiasts should be mindful of that and proceed with caution should they approach *enthusiasts who are much younger than them. Vice versa kind of.

    Edit: And the site is for people who are 18 and older.

  • PS. For enthusiasts they have prefered age range section they can fill out. So that can give one an idea too.

  • Awww, If I only could have a chance to cuddle with some of my sweet and kind 65yo male cuddlers as a 18 yo consenting female adult, I would happily got elevated and nourished early on by their fatherly presence and true dominant, safe and protective platonic embrace 🤗

  • @j88 ,

    Age is not really important in a platonic cuddling relationship and I have cuddled women of many ages since joining this site. I'm 62 years old.

    I think it's more important that the two are compatiple with each other. We are not looking to date each other or have a long term relationship.

    Regardless of any assurances, I believe we bear the burden of due diligence. If you have any reason to doubt, I’m sure you can find a way to verify that still safeguards their privacy.

  • @CharlesThePoet

    You would be ok if your 18 year old teen daughter (still in high school) cuddled 65 year old men alone in their home?

  • @rj88 Please take your judgmental horse shit elsewhere. We're all adults here. People can cuddle who they want. If someone doesn't want to cuddle @CharlesThePoet due to his age or any other reason, they can just... not do it.

    To the original question, it's no different from a dating site in this respect. The site is not going to take on any sort of legal responsibility here, so if you feel the need to verify someone's age, it's on you.

  • So nobody else would think it's strange if you saw a 65 year old man cuddling an 18 year old high school teen girl in public?

    @CuddleWho

    It's creepy. 65 year old men shouldn't be inviting 18 year old teen girls into their homes.

    @rj88

    Quite the hypothetical…

    Truth is, I have no children, so I have no frame of reference.

    I can say that I had no issues with my younger sister, nor any of my younger female cousins, making their own adult choices.

    I have utter confidence that part of their upbringing was learning to keep themselves safe, trust their inner voice, communicate their boundaries, and savagely defend themselves if needed.

    I presume that, if I had daughters, I would feel the same way.

    To turn the question, @rj88, would you be uncomfortable if your 18 year old daughter choose to have platonic interactions or relationships with 65 year old people?

  • [Deleted User]DarrenWalker (deleted user)

    We do seem to be on the honor system here when it comes to age.

    I could definitely see people under 18 looking at the site and wondering why they have to be legal adults in order to consent to platonic cuddles with legal adults, deciding it makes no sense, and lying about their age to join anyway.

    While cuddling is platonic, obviously some people are going to try for non-platonic stuff. It makes perfect sense to keep kids safe from that risk until they're old enough to deal with predators.

    Most kids won't realize that, though.

    Age verification online is tricky. If you're unsure, I'd say "better safe than sorry."

  • 65 year old men shouldn't be inviting 18 year old teen girls into their homes.

    Why exactly? Because it makes you feel weird? Why is it someone else's responsibility to cater to your judgment?

    You would be ok if your 18 year old teen daughter (still in high school) cuddled 65 year old men alone in their home?

    I would be seriously nonplussed if my 18 year old daughter did pro cuddling at all. But that doesn't mean I think it is morally wrong, or that a 65 year old man is a creep for taking her up on the services she offered of her own free will.

  • @CharlesThePoet

    Yes, I would be VERY uncomfortable. I would be VERY uncomfortable if my 18 year old TEEN daughter has relationships with 35 year old men., much less 65 year old men.

  • Just because something is legal doesn't make it right. I can guarantee that the vast majority of people don't think 18 year old teen girls (still in high school) should be meeting 65 year old men.

  • @rj88 Then you deal with that with your daughter. It is not your responsibility to police the consensual, legal relationships of other adults.

  • @CuddleWho

    18 year old teen girls should not be meeting 65 year old men and being platonically intimate with them. There is something wrong with you if you think that's ok.

  • @rj88 You just keep saying it "should not" happen, but why? Why do you care about this? If an 18 year old wants to cuddle a 65 year old, why do you get to tell them that's not okay? Why do you feel you have the right to decide which consensual relationships between adults are acceptable and which are not? Hint: you don't. Go away.

  • Why exactly? Because it makes you feel weird? Why is it someone else's responsibility to cater to your judgment?

    I shouldn't have to explain why 18 year old teen girls, still in high school, shouldn't be betting 65 year old men.

    Well then you're a pervert if you think it's ok for a 65 year old men to meet girls still in high school.

  • @rj88 Let me ask you this. At which age do you think a person has the ability to determine which relationships and interactions are right for them? Can a 30 year old decide to cuddle a 65 year old man? What about a 25 year old? What about a 21 year old?

  • @rj88 You just keep saying it "should not" happen, but why? Why do you care about this? If an 18 year old wants to cuddle a 65 year old, why do you get to tell them that's not okay? Why? Because it's perverted. If you think it's ok for 65 year old men to be platonically intimate with high school girls, then there's something extremely wrong with you.

  • @rj88 So there is no reason. You're just here to pass judgment and call people names. Can some moderator please ban this person for calling others creeps and perverts?

    ...From the ages of six to ten, I used to go over to a neighbor's house alone. He was in his sixties or seventies. We'd play chess. Once we watched Hiawatha. I also used to visit an aged female neighbor alone. I'd help her weed her flowerbeds, and she taught me how to mend my own clothes. My parents always knew where I was, of course. They were my safety net—they did the vetting.

    Shouldn't a legal adult know how to set up their own safety net, how to do their own vetting? Why assume they can't?

  • [Deleted User]CharlesThePoet (deleted user)

    @rj88

    For your own growth, I recommend you look up the term “projection”.

    And, as a by the way, “the majority” really isn’t, but last I checked “the majority” believes in Bigfoot, demonic possession, ghosts, horoscopes, and tarot cards, so whatever…

    An 18 year is still a kid in high school. If you think it's ok, then you're a pervert.

    I would say at least after college.

    Go in public and say it's ok for 65 year old men to be platonically intimate with you. I promise you VERY VERY few people will agree with you.

  • @rj88 You're literally using the exact same approach people used to use to explain why homosexuality is supposedly wrong. Just blanket assertions, saying "it's perverted", no actual justification whatsoever. What both that and this come down to is that it makes you feel weird, and therefore you think no one else should be able to do it.
