Personally, I think it's fine for people of all ages to snuggle, provided they're all comfortable with it and it's all platonic. The old folks whose homes I used to visit alone as a kid were lovely. My parents did the vetting, since I wasn't mature enough to do it myself yet, and they were my safety net, too—they always knew where I was.
