Hello guys...I need to get something of my chest and vent for a moment 😅
I've come across many great cuddlers in the past few years, but there are huge differences when it comes to their knowledge and practices.
I always have at least 10-15min of conversation with my clients before every cuddle session and maybe 5 min feedback, and we often talk about past experiences, likes and dislikes, what they ultimately long for when they book a professional cuddle. And unfortunately I hear way too many times that so-called "pros" are more "wannabe" pros but you don't really know until you meet one who really knows what he/she is doing.
I see new "professionals" who never cuddled another person professionally in their life but charge unreasonable for what exactly? The privilege to hug them? I personally started as an enthusiast a few years back even tho I have a medical and psychological background, but I felt like I can't professionally cuddle someone if I don't even know what professionally cuddling really is. It took me 6 months before I even considered calling myself a professional. Everybody is different I get that but...
Am I wrong for thinking that people who just get started in the cuddle game should not call themselves professionals but gather experiences as enthusiasts and actually participate in workshops, coachings and events first?
I mean looking at other professions out there I don't go out and decide to be a physical therapist, massage therapist, mental health specialist, fitness trainer or whatever without any further education about it. Right? That's not how it works, no one would take me serious.
But being professional also means working professional, I've heard weird stories about "professionals" being drugged high on arrival, brought a friend who waited outside, came too late, been cold and not attentive at all, indulged in sexual activities and even offered various non-platonic services for more money (but that's another discussion)...
Even as a professional I reach out to other professionals to learn something new, share experiences, treat myself to a cuddle as well, where I'm the receiver. And sometimes that's enlightening.
To sum it up...
