This Sunday was my birthday and I asked my boyfriend who is a carpenter/contractor to build me a daybed for my present this year. So we went to fabric row earlier in the week and bought the velvet fabric and foam and then got to work Sunday. Initially, I initially had the bed in the middle of the room with a hanging headboard cushion I purchased on Etsy. I later pushed the bed into the corner of the room because it looked more professional and opened up a lot of floor space, the headboard was then left on the wall in an awkward place in relation to the bed and the hooks were really annoying. So I got the idea to have a corner daybed but there are limited options for queen-sized daybeds and they were all a dull shade of gray and not the dark, green velvet I desired. So we had to DIY it....
