Last year I had an interesting session with a client. I noticed that he laid there, gave me consent when I requested to touch him, however, never touched me back. He also never requested to touch me. At the time I thought perhaps he was tired as he did work a lot.
Now, in session, I love to be touched, caressed and squeezed. It is part of why these sessions are so beautiful, because we engage in two way touch. Unfortunately in the moment I was more concerned about my clients receiving, and not needing to give.
Later I asked if they prefer to receive touch than give? Their response was surprising. They were worried they might not touch me right or the way I wanted, and so they didn't touch me back and did not ask to touch me. It made me realize how important it is to not just give, but also request to encourage the pleasure of receiving.
With all of this said, how many of you feel you need gentle encouragement to ask to touch the practitioner or fellow cuddle enthusiast?
