Hot tub cuddling

[Deleted User]greshpo (deleted user)

I know of a couple different places in my area where you can rent a hot tub room by the hour. Since I am not often able to host and many potential cuddle partners are not able to host either, I have to rent an airbnb or hotel to meet at. Someone suggested renting a hot tub room since it would be cheaper and might be a fun place to cuddle. So I'm curious if any of you have ever cuddled in a hot tub or if you think it would be an appropriate suggestion for a place to meet with a potential cuddle partner?

Can't say I've ever cuddled in a hot tub and not entirely sure it'd be the most appropriate suggestion or place for cuddles to occur for clothing reasons unless you have a wet suit or go in fully clothed. It also honestly sounds like between body heat from cuddling and the hot tub itself, it might be a bit uncomfortable.

  • Seems kinda unhygienic if it's a public hot tub , and also could be perceived as having the makings for potential boundary blurring so the other person may be kinda cautious of you if you bring it up

  • I have did it a couple times and has worked out great, both cuddles loved it and thought it was a great idea.
Id say go for it. Most would love it.

  • How have I never heard of a hot tub room for rent?! Is this just a regular hotel room with a jacuzzi or what are we even talking about here?

I know of the place you are talking about in Portland. It is not a hotel room. It is just a place that has a bunch rooms with hot tubs that you rent by the hour. Some rooms are open air and some are inside. I have had a professional cuddler suggest it to me for a place to cuddle but I have never tried it.

  • I think that, in general, a hotel with a hot tub in the room is not a place you want to be staying.

  • If you like it, do it.

  • I like mixing things like this.

    How about:
    cuddling and snorkeling?
    Cuddling on roller coasters?
    Cuddling while skydiving?

  • I've done hot tub cuddles a handful of times and it's fantastic. Highly recommend, assuming both people are comfortable with the idea.

I appreciate you all sharing your opinions about this. It sounds like maybe it might be a possibility. I'm not completely sure if it would be something I want to do. The main thing I worry about is potential cuddlers thinking I'm a creep for suggesting it. I guess it would depend on each individual and how it's presented.

  • A pro cuddler told me a while ago that she had done it and that I could have a session like that if I wanted to, I just had to get the room with the hot tub/jacuzzi myself.

There’s a current cuddler that offers that as part of her sessions because she hosts and if I was in her area I’d be inclined to try it.

    Is not that uncommon.

Interesting that this thread comes up now, as I've pondered holding one of my CuddleParty events at the pool - and might just do that! Within the same rules of a regular CuddleParty, I don't see why it couldn't work - though for the first one or two events I might restrict invites only to those who I know and have attended one of my regular CuddleParty events before - in order to fully get a grip on running a completely safe event before opening it to everyone. There will still be the consent workshop beforehand and the same rules will still apply - clothes stay on the whole time (in this case swimsuits, I suppose) and you must ask and get a verbal yes before you touch anyone, only hell yes means yes, and so on.

  • Most hotels with a hot tub in tbr room are either in Las Vegas or Super 8 type places. I’ve stayed in decent hotels with jacuzzis but I’m 6-2 and that seems like it would be a really tight fit to me.

  • There is a place in Berkeley that you can rent a room with hot tub and shower and a small area to lay down on. Has like 10 private rooms.

Public hot tubs are incubators for staph.

    Avoid them.

  • Well maintained hot tubs are perfectly safe. I’ve done hot tub therapy for years. I’ve had staph but that was from dirty hockey equipment and a skate blade cut.

  • Hot tub cuddles are wonderful. I've had several sessions with a rented poolside privacy cabana where we alternated between cuddling in the shade, swimming in the pool, and giving each other shoulder massages in the spa. Maybe its a California thing, but IMO, a perfectly wholesome Blissful way to spend a few hours! That said, it was with people I have deep trust for, and when an anonymous account proposes that for an introductory session, its a nah.

  • I have had a few cuddles in hot tubs. They rock. Had one at Trinity Hot Springs in Idaho 24 years ago. Here is a pic of the place:

  • Sounds fun! But might get uncomfortable after a bit.

I live in the Portland area. This sounds interesting. What is the name of the hot tub place?

  • Hell yeah brother. Sounds like fun. I’m a hot bath fiend.

@Syins Those three things sounds like a blast to me, where do I sign up?

As long as both parties are comfortable with the idea then I see no issues regarding it! I’ve had a few sessions with a hot tub and they were amazing 🥰 Something about the hot water, a few jet streams here and there and being able to talk and relax together was so nice! I don’t worry myself too much about the bathing suit issue, mainly because they aren’t supposed to touch ‘bathing suit’ areas regardless of what it is that you wear. That being said, I’ve worn my bikini for hot tub sessions and had no problems whatsoever. Plus the guys swim without their shirts on and in just shorts. It’s definitely a little more vulnerable but you need to remember you can end the session at any point in time! (It’s also important to mention that I never wear anything less than a tank top shorts and underwear during a normal session!) If I really feel objectified, then I’d have a swimsuit pullover to place on top of myself… But in my experience, if someone is going to sexualize you, it’s going to be regardless of what bathing suit you wear. So, that being said, it’s really REALLY important that both people are comfortable! Perhaps try a hot tub session with a cuddler/client you know and trust! Meeting someone new under such circumstances could be quite awkward 😊 As always, happy cuddling! <3
