  • And @Dylan2693 , just one more thing. You have identified a number of issues that you are working through. Some of those are not related to physical touch and some of them are. But the work you need to do with someone on these things is therapy, whether it’s the psychological type or informal touch “therapy” that is offered by some people on here. And therapy is a job. It isn’t easy and is not always enjoyable. It’s not something you should expect from a friend or partner for free. It’s something you should be paying for.

And as @MxSmith pointed out, not every pro is ready to take on this kind of work either. There is risk in it for them and not everyone feels they have the proper training to do things that seems in any way like therapy. There probably isn’t much difference from yourself and most of us. We have all been at a breaking point at some point in our lives. You just happened to say out loud what most people keep inside. There are pros on here which can help you. You should just seek some out. Even if they are far away. And of course seeing a regular therapist is something all of us should do at least at certain times in our lives. Good luck.

  • @Cuddle_RN he did it sarcastically. He doesn’t actually feel that way. No worries 😌

  • @dave31415 : so I shouldnt Do the thing, I apologized for repeatedly? Yep, I guess I can't help myself.

I mean, did you really see a need to treat me like a child and reiterate a lesson to me when I already claimed to have learned said lesson.

Also, they can tell when you are just saying what You think they want to hear. You know this right?

I know this thread is old, but I find it really funny that so many folks suggest OP get a therapist when he says on the first page that he already has one.

  • So just pay a pro?

  • You need to smile more in your photos and not dump your problems on people. Reading your profile and your long whiny post suggests you're a complainer. Thats the bad news. The good news is that you have the ability to improve your life and make changes to it should u be willing to put in the effort.

Honestly homie, you're probably gonna have to reach into the bank account. I've been going through touch starvation as well and I'm starting to think that cuddle enthusiasts really just don't want to connect much with each other on here but only want to connect with pros.

  • @Dylan2693 I’m going to be straight with you. Some women get more attention than other women. If you contact these kinds of women for a free cuddle, you’re not gonna get one.

  • CC is the best thing that has happened to me in the last two weeks.. Random people sending me good vibes, an interactive village exuding good energy, healthy and wholesome conversations . I feel like a better person from learning how to interact with people in general of all kinds. At no cost to the wallet. Exactly what I need in my life right now is this non-toxic environment .

I feel ya brother, society is screwed.

I've had an easier time finding a one night stand than finding someone who just wants comfort, and it's absurd, but that's how society is anymore.

Sex, sex is fine, want actual connection or comfort, yeah no, that ain't happening.

You're the only person in life that you can know for a fact genuinely cares about you, and thats okay, you'll never betray yourself, and never use yourself. That's a win

@Dylan2693 sorry for your issues here man. But I can assure you, a paid cuddler can be just as genuine in their bond and can care about you as much as anyone. I know this for a fact. I've had friends, from platonic to romantic throughout my life that were incredibly disingenuous to me. Hell, I'm divorcing a woman right now who was beyond disingenuous to me! I happen to have befriended a certain pro cuddler here and turns out we care about each other very very much and have a very genuine bond and developing friendship which transcends the cuddling arrangement, but the nature of the arrangement under which we met remains unchanged.

I wrapped my head around this concept by making an analogy. I used to be very involved in audio recording had a small home based studio and my closest friends of my life would come to record with me. We hung out like friends, had amazing times and it was all fun stuff that I would be happy to do for free on one hand, but the paid me for my time. Did that make my efforts and interest in the music disingenuous? Not in the least. Life is one giant transaction. Nothing is free. Would I prefer to not have to pay this amazing person to cuddle? Of course! But I'm happy to have this mutually beneficial arrangement and perhaps this is not so common but we keep in touch all the time just texting about our days or something interesting, random stuff, and she is become a wonderful and amazing support system while i am going thru some pretty heavy life transitions and it's awesome to just have that emotional support that transcends the actually cuddle part. But I think I'm pretty lucky to have happened upon this soul at the time I did. I realize that and don't take it for granted. So it's working for me. However I have met other wonderful souls here who exceptional people and the connection is real and genuine, though the in-between combination is unique to only one but everyone I met thru here are really good awesome people and never did I feel it was some act for the money. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I feel the need to note, paying for services rendered is a business transaction, two or more people who somewhat care if the other is breathing or not however, may be a genuine connection.

The two should not be confused, if a person wants you to pay them for their time, they are not your friend, they are a businessperson, you're a client, no more, no less. If they were a friend, they wouldn't expect compensation for their time.

It's unhealthy to confuse the two.

Yes, most interactions should be mutually beneficial, but when it comes to exchanging currency for services rendered, that should never be confused for anything more than it is, a business transaction.

If someone is you're friend, you don't have to pay them with anything more than your time, if you do, that person is not you're friend, and you are not theirs, you are a client

  • @Jacob879 the only certainty in our world is that there is nothing that is "always" or "never" true. One must also be careful not to confuse something they do not understand with being something that can't be true. 💜

  • [Deleted User]Momoo (deleted user)

My thoughts align with Jacob, somewhat. A relationship built up on time spent desire for emotional closeness and a relationship built upon services rendered/money exchanged can be equally fulfilling and shouldn't be judged based on the merits of the other. But, for most people they aren't the same.

I think the real issue is when folks try to push their own boundaries too far to make connection like the other. For some it's not an issue. For others it's fundamentally different. Neither side is wrong, but also neither side should shame the other for feeling the way they do.

  • [Deleted User]Jacob879 (deleted user)

Eh, I understand the definition of a business transaction, I can read, and business transactions are the transfer of currency for products or services. Meaning paying someone (transfer of currency) to do something (for products or services) is by definition a business transaction.

I haven't said anything negative about paying people for their time, I'm merely noting that's a business arrangement. There's no harm in admitting that. It's become more prevalent to believe people you pay to spend time with are friends, to the point it's been acknowledged as an actual problem by the mental health community.

Everyone is free to do what they want with their time and money, it is best however to keep healthy understandings of what is what.

As for certainties, people need air to live, people need water to live, all living creatures eventually die, etc, there are many universal, objective truths.

I think the OP could use a good dose of Copium.
