@SoftTouchAngel I can't answer for others but I hide from no one, and I noticed women in her play games or they try to date you, it's just cuddling & conversation 🤔

Respect the cuddler and her need for safety. Just send the photo when asked.

  • I don't have one due to my profession, but I send one if I begin communicating with someone.

Can someone explain to me how a company or Co worker can find your image and identity based on a photo from an anonymous profile from a site? Maybe I'm just not computer savvy to understand. For example:

    • Would they reverse image search your pic?
    • Would they enter your name and email and see what pops up?
    • Would they use some form of more advanced search algorithm to locate your identity or image?
    • Or are we talking about top secret government organizations that know all the whereabouts of their employees and nothing is confidential (e.g. - can't see a sex worker, subscribe to a OF account, or play on the dark web, etc.)?

    Thanks for entertaining my folly!

  • @cylee1180 It's through telepathy actually. Any time someone secretly joins an app/site, their boss immediately feels a disturbance in the force.

"Hold that thought, Johnson....I feel as though....Sarah has just joined Tinder. Pull up the app on your phone"

"You were right sir, here's Sarah's profile right here. What should we do?"

"Notify the shareholders. We will be announcing her Tinder bio to the entire staff this Thursday"

At least, that's how people seem to think it happens.

  • @cylee1180 , I have a lot of people who I work with and/or report to me. It would be very embarrassing to me if they were to see my photo on this site. It's more about my self-consciousness than anything else. If someone does not choose to engage with me because of my choice, it's their decision and I don't hold it against them.

@JBearz , thanks for the snarky comment.

  • @Mr_Cuddle_Bear yes but why would you be embarrassed?

  • @Mr_Cuddle_Bear I was just trying to lighten the mood, I didn't mean to come off as snarky. It wasn't directed towards you specifically

I mean, I am a martial arts instructor that has my own class and will own my own studio some day. Maybe there's a small chance a parent or college student might see it, but so what is how I feel. I'm not doing anything illegal or immoral and anything I do will spread like wildfires across the Chinese and martial arts community. I also Latin dance (which is quite public and sometimes posts photos in their Facebook pages, and protest at marches and actively engage in politics and social justice issues on public comments thread).

But, I avoid any possible adult themed groups or events that could give me a bad reputation avoid interacting w college parties after martial arts tournaments bc I have to watch my rep.

I guess they're calculated risks. Kinda reminds me of the Stanley Tucci character on the American version of Shall We Dance? In which he hides his passion for ballroom dancing from his co workers .

  • @cylee1180 what you're talking about isn't embarrassment. It's simply a boundary question, of maintaining a distinction between your private life and your public life.

I have something similar, in that I don't really want my students to know that I'm a cuddler. Or rather, I don't really want them to know anything about my private life unless I choose to use it to help in their education. I don't care if they find out, and it certainly doesn't matter, but I want them to be able to say absolutely anything to me without worrying about it, and it's easier for them to do that if my private life is something of a blank slate.

Should their parents find out, and decide to fire me on the strength of it, I would consider it a [very minor] lucky escape.

But none of them will find out, because the only way to see that I'm on Cuddle Comfort is for them to be on Cuddle Comfort themselves. And if they are on here, that would make for a valuable conversation.

@CuddleDuncan Yeah boundaries and public face is important in my field. It extends in my area and in my community across the sport.

Here's Tucci at 1:56 releasing his burden after a wardrobe malfunction:

Hopefully someone can cuddle like this someday without fear or care of exposure.

    :)

@Mr_Cuddle_Bear Is there an image or persona or gender trait you have to keep to "maintain respect within the office," also do guys feel more pressure to maintain this aura than women?

  • @Mr_Cuddle_Bear You & all others absolutely have a right to your privacy. This modern world we live in, there are way too many parasitic types who live for opportunities to dox, shade, embarrass, or in any way mess with peoples lives. You do you & don’t think twice. It’s not wrong to set boundaries between profession & personal & nobody has any business shading or harassing for it.

  • @cylee1180

Why does that set them off?

In my experience when someone here asks me for more photos when I have plenty posted, its code for send me something "sexy".

The communication either ends or I get blocked when I send them a picture of me with another male. I guess it ruins their fantasy and diminishes all hope. 😈

    Good riddance.

They join the site, click the search button, and bam, there's your photo. Personally I've seen the profile photos of everyone in my area, as well as hundreds of people not in my area, just by spending 90 seconds browsing the search page. Haven't you? Between coworkers, friends, family, other acquaintances, there are hundreds of people who know me by appearance and name, and it's very plausible that one of them could join the site and notice me.

This is one of those questions where I don't understand why it has to be explained. Isn't it obvious that if you have a public photo on a social networking site, someone you know might see it?

@CuddleWho While that is possible, I don't think it's likely. I think they would sooner find someone's handle on an adult site than find you on a niche activity site. I mean the DC Maryland Virginia metropolitan area has about 6.5 million pple. There are about 45 enthusiasts that live within 25 miles of me and about 75 that live within 50 miles. They'd sooner find me on a dating site (eg - I saw an assistant principal on okcupid when I worked at a school).

And it's not the greatest use of HR time or Co worker time...have you ever spent hours poking through random sites trying to find screen names and pics that you recognize?

Not to mention, as a martial arts teacher, the community extends within the competition circuit both regional and national and international- I literally have a target on my back if I mess something up. Lol. And I don't care.

I think it's not a probable scenario- and if cuddling blows up and becomes mainstream, then any taboo or misperception surrounding it will disappear as well imo.

  • @CuddleWho I agree 💯. Not putting a photo on your profile is a boundary regardless of who is not putting the photo on. If they do not get any cuddlers as a result then that is on them not the busy bodies on the forum. Like an earlier poster said, they send a photo with the first message and that has always worked for me. Some of the ones on here pressuring for profile photos because they have one and don’t care what others think is their choice but to hold it up as the best way is nothing more than self-aggrandizing egoism. There are several ways of going about one’s business and to speculate on someone else’s reasons is plain wrong. If it works for them then leave them alone. I have my reasons why I don’t and I have shared them before but I won’t anymore because it really isn’t anyone’s business.

  • Did a sample search in a test area of female enthusiasts and 26/76 did not have a profile picture.

  • And then there are the pros who have a photo but dont have anything on their profile about them..all they have is the huge ridiculous dollar amount🤣🤣🤣🤣

It's because like, men are so trash, amirite! It must be guys cheating on their wives and not like, guys who live in a hypermasculine society where their entire 2rd grade class (including the teacher) laughs in their face because they said they liked to play with dolls at home. Or having their sexuality challenged for liking certain types of music.

Oh, but men created the patriarchy, and that's what causes that, so we're ultimately responsible, Because it's always the big bad men.

  • @FunCartel - There's no pressure. I'm just calling a deuce a deuce. If the reasoning is "I just don't want to," or "I'm uncomfortable," then it's super legit. But the co worker argument is very weak and unlikely.

    Maybe some folks are feeling:

    • the need for privacy
    • insecure
    • perhaps think looks should not affect a platonic cuddling session
    • constrained by the objectifying standards of mainstream society
    • shy
    • self-conscious

All of those would make perfect sense, but stating you are of such prominent importance that you can't stand to be seen on such a hedonistic site as Cuddle Comfort (when you've probably done more naughty and mainstream online activiites) seems a bit improbable and unbelievable to me.

Maybe for men, this shows vulnerability or perceived weakness, which they do not want to admit or maybe they are not only in denial to us but to themselves as well. Who knows, but if we're all on some scientific, logical kick on the forum, then I don't see why there's a problem when truth and logic apply to social situations as well.

    Just my two cents.

@cylee1180 My co-workers made fun of me for years for knowing what a Juggalo is. In the state ICP came from. I’m not one, but just for knowing the term.

You want to guess what would happen if they got a copy of my profile with a picture of my face? They’d be quoting Agent Smecker from The Boondock Saints forever.

    For reference on Boondock Saints:

  • @zerocantaloupe - Wow, that's harsh, dude. And that makes sense and sucks at the same time.

They'd sooner find me on a dating site (eg - I saw an assistant principal on okcupid when I worked at a school).

You're literally giving an example of exactly what I'm talking about while insisting that it's basically impossible. What in the world?!?!?!?!?!

And it's not the greatest use of HR time or Co worker time...have you ever spent hours poking through random sites trying to find screen names and pics that you recognize?

I feel like I've already stated this, but to be as clear as I possibly can: the primary concern is not that they're specifically scouring the Internet looking for me. The concern is that they'll join the site and stumble on my profile. Which, again, seems very possible.

I think I'm done with this discussion. If you don't want people to identify you on a social networking site, don't make your photo public. It's honestly stunning there are people who would argue with this.

  • but stating you are of such prominent importance that you can't stand to be seen on such a hedonistic site as Cuddle Comfort (when you've probably done more naughty and mainstream online activiites) seems a bit improbable and unbelievable to me.

@cylee1180 This seems highly judgemental, speculative and downright mean that someone stated why they don’t put their photo on a profile and this is your assessment of their reasoning. You are not in their workplace and to assume they surf sex sites because of their reasons says more about you than it does them. What if they work for a conservative church? Or they are a teacher in a highly conservative school district? There are a ton of workplace reasons and it is a boundary you don’t seem to respect.

  • @FunCartel First, there's nothing to judge bc adult entertainment is not morally wrong. Second, having a discussion and speculating does appear to be pushing someone to do something they don't wish to do. So when someone states something on a public forum, they cannot be asked logical questions and to discuss culture, gender, and reason bc it makes them feel uncomfortable? Well, I guess I'm breaking community rules. Please flag it. Otherwise please stop trying to babysit grown adults. We are having discussions and we bouncing ideas and no one has really flung any mud. So what's the reason for the big reaction?
