Some of my fondest memories include camping with a friend or two. After a night near the fire crawling into our tent. From my memory it almost seems like an ideal scenario.

Wondering if there’s an intersection of this community & interest in that.

While I’m an experienced wilderness traveler I’d imagine for safety & hygiene a popular car campground would probably be best at least until you know & trust the other person. At which point maybe there’s somebody who’d be interested in going deep into Yosemite wilderness & not being alone for the night.

    @cudbud64 thanks for the support. Maybe if ever you come out this way & wanna spend some time in nature I can be your guide. Disappointed there’s not more interest. I have so many great memories from Bug Sur, Yosemite Lake Tahoe, etc. Just a pile of bodies some of us didn’t even fit in the tent. We had really cheap gear then too. But I’ve had great experiences with just one other person too It’s kinda the perfect situation for platonic affection. Your wrapped up in gortex sharing body heat.

    These are the memories that brought me here. Wish I could get some of these experiences again. When I do go these days I either go alone or in a group where we each bring out own tent.

    I’m good at snagging the reservations for car camping…I’m experienced in the wilderness & know the great trails.

    I don’t winter camp so if anyone is interested we’d have months to get used to the idea before the season starts.

    There's definitely an intersection! I went camping twice with one of my cuddlers and we had a great time!

    @Cuddle_RN Would be curious from your perspective what the process would be for you to feel safe with a friend or group of friend for this activity? Not just that boundaries wouldn't be crossed but that the people you're going with are prepared & you'll have a good time.

    Youre welcome @J_M_S If I travel out west, I'll be sure to let you know! Visiting the national parks is definitely on the ever growing checklist of things I want to do.

    I would say if I did something locally like this on the east coast, I would feel most comfortable cuddling a few times with whoever not in a camping setting first, getting to know someone significantly before showing up to that setting, or I would want to set up kind of like a group hang, if there were other cuddlers who were also into camp-cuddling then going in a group would ensure safety.

    @cuddles_ndream thats beautiful. Imagine when it rains or it’s snowing and you look above...star gazing. I love that.

    I’ve always wanted to build a glass dome. You don’t need high ceilings when you’ve got the stars peering back at you.

    @cuddles_ndream that would be a dream! So cozy and beautiful. I’d love to camp with a cuddle buddy but as @cudbud64 said, I’d need to already be really comfortable with someone before cuddling in a setting like that.
    I’m actually traveling atm trying to visit national parks and forests. Nature is truly healing ❤️‍🩹

    @GreatHornedOwl Yeah, that's what camping looks like to me. That said, I'm more attracted to the photo posted by @cuddles_ndream, although it's probably as much real camping as McDonald's is real food.

    I absolutely love camping and hiking. I dont do heavy traffic trails and prefer lesser known trails or just going off trail completely.

    I really dont like rv camping or car sites, not since i stopped camping with my parents. But i suppose i would camp with someone to build teust before going deep woods hiking and camping

    This past summer I've gone camping in NY with two cuddlers, its was great, good food, campfire, good company, and a two person hammock 😊,
    and Cuddling. Can't wait to do it again this year, maybe with more cuddlers and longer period of time.

    Never been camping or skiing. I grew up in Colorado. I am shunned.

    My mother grew up on a farm with no electricity or running water so she would not allow us to go camping because it was “crazy” to pay for that.

    Now as an adult I can go camping but would not feel comfortable going alone. I do like daytime hiking.

    I'd love to camp 'n cuddle, but that would be expensive! Better to do it with a friend or someone you befriended here, perhaps.
    I tent camp and my only luxury item is a 4-inch mattress topper that fits perfectly in the tent. Other than that, I cook by fire and turn the phone off.

    @J_M_S, this cuddler was someone I had known for at least 6 months. I trusted him completely, he was a good man and very competent, a very experienced outdoorsy type. He would never put me or anyone he cared about in an unsafe situation. It's hard to put into words why I would trust someone so much. It's just a general vibe...my instincts told me I could trust him.

    @CatGirlColorado Same here. We did not camp growing up cause my parents' childhood was too much like involuntary camping. I know now that I missed out by not camping.

    I have not camped since I was married. They were some fond and fun memories. It was always nice to snuggle. Going to bed at night.

    @GreatHornedOwl , I’m with you on the camping !!!! I also started out with a tent.
    I love my motorcycle so I would go camping with a tent in a mini trailer I towed, then up graded to a mini fold up that was make to be towed by a motorcycle. I was camping in GA. And a tornado went directly over our camping spot, the camper was bouncing up and down off the ground. After that I went to several slide inn truck campers and up to a 40’ toy hauler. I have owned about 10 campers, I also learned if you want it to rain just set up a tent or a pop up camper.
    I now have my perfect camper for me, 25’ with a slide and a motorcycle lift for my truck so I can camp and enjoy riding my motorcycle. I also have a slide in camper that I use if I haul my tractor with me.
    My last trip was up to WV for a week of cuddling up on the motorcycle for our day trips and then cuddling at night in the camper, it was great. It has a dual recliner love seat to cuddle in while watching TV.

    @GreatHornedOwl Yeah, your two photos show different camping styles. But for purposes of me saying that I'm more attracted to the wood and glass "tent" they are equivalent. I can't imagine doing the first at all. I could deal with the second if I had to.

    @EarthaR someone I follow in the defi world posted it and said, “I love being very close to nature” … I believe it is theirs but I’m not sure …. If this happens to be near me like In upstate or jersey I would waste no time 🏕️ 🌌 🌙 💕 🌧️ 🎶
