I’m clearly not a pro from my profile and yet every first message I get is “How much do you charge?”
@AZcuddles602 challenging to answer yes or no . Some obviously do and some like in your example obviously don’t.
Luv your city Especially spring baseball ⚾️ time.
Hope you get some public cuddles on your preferred day today ! 😊
I do, because the profiles tell me a lot about the person, to see what they are like, their interests, whether we might be a good fit. For example, I can’t stand to be around smoke, so I always make sure to engage with non-smokers only. I’m frankly baffled why someone wouldn’t want to read a profile of a person he wanted to spend time with.
Thanks @OhioMike! Maybe it’s just the ones that are messaging me that don’t read it.
I totally agree @justwanthugs Thats one of the reasons I always read profiles too.
Not usually. Just glance over it. There is a pretty low supply of female cuddlers for most men so you can’t be too picky. I usually write to anyone new in my area and welcome them. Will read their profile in more detail if they actually respond. Most do not.
Many do, many do not.
Note that the kind of person who inhabits the forum is not a typical user of the site, so whatever results any poll shows are not representative of the whole membership.
Some men, especially a certain type of those who are new, genuinely and mistakenly believe that all the women here are professionals, because that is what they have been told or led to believe. Others believe that some or all of the women are sex workers.
The recommended technique is to send a standard copy/paste message. This may be followed by an instant Block, or you may allow one chance to reply just on the off chance that it's reasonable. However, this can become annoying quite quickly, in which case you can just go straight to Blocking them.
It is unlikely that a man who has not read your profile before messaging, even allowing for any misconceptions he may have about the site, will prove to be a caring and considerate cuddle-buddy.
I am not sure, some probably do, and some don't.
I read profiles,
I have seen some people ask people to include a word or a color in their first message to prove and confirm that they've read your profile.
I do. And I have found at least a third of them are identical, almost word for word. Makes me question who is the real one and who is not, or even maybe they have multiple profiles and just lazy. Who knows but is just what I am noticing.
@dave31415 That’s fair if they are new and it’s a general welcome. I’ve been on this site for years.
@CuddleDuncan That’s sad that many think that. Some of those are easy to spot, because they quickly ask to exchange numbers and chat off the platform. At that point I block. I agree 100% that if someone doesn’t take the two seconds to read my profile (which is pretty brief as is), it’s not a good sign.
@m2356 and @BgstickTeddyBea that’s great. I read them too. People put thought into their profiles, so I think it’s courtesy. It’s so obvious when people don’t read my profile and they’re talking about a hotel when my profile clearly says public cuddling only.
What are people expecting to find in a profile that would make you not want to meet someone? I do scan them to just look for anything unusual such as an overly complicated screening process or signs that the person is unhinged. Of course I look at price for pros. But unless I’m in New York City or something where one could potentially have dozens of people to choose from, there just isn’t a big reason to read them in detail. I suppose if you were working very hard to craft the perfect message then it might help. I mean why spend 10 minutes reading it if they probably won’t respond anyway? I’m sure women who have pressing safety concerned would need to do so but us guys usually don’t have to worry as much.
I hate admitting this because I am a man, but the bar should be set pretty low on male expectations.
I ask potential cuddlers if they’ve read every word of my profile as part of screening process. Some kind of laugh it off as if that applies to everyone except them. I also ask if they read the Forum discussion, FAQs, everything available at the bottom of homepage. They usually laugh and say, oh I’ll let you tell me when I get there. Most have never noticed any of that information. It’s like they don’t want to be reminded of what they’re not allowed to do. Or that they’re special and I’ll give in for them. I need to make them send a message on the site. signed that they agree to TOS instead of just saying it verbally or in a text message.
I do up to a certain point, but if I start seeing a whole bunch of do’s and don’ts in the profile, I stop
Perhaps to be more accurate, I’d say that I do read them. But it’s more of a scan that skips through the usual stuff. And most people do in fact write very similar things that is some variation of: “I’m a cheerful and nurturing person who will provide a safe, warm place for platonic cuddling. I enjoy making people feel appreciated and …”. My eye will immediately skip through any of that and look for anything that pops up with what I feel is actually important, specific information. If I see anything like that, I will actually read it carefully.
@dave31415 a lot of us pros include important logistical information on our profiles. For example I get a lot of people messaging me asking me if I am available to meet that night which is very frustrating because I state in my profile that I do not take same day bookings and that I require a consultation call and a deposit from first time clients no later than one day before. So if you are reaching out to a pro in order to book a session it is important that your read their profile
@dave31415 A quick scan works too. If someone quickly scans they should immediately see I’m not a pro and not open up with “how much do you charge?”
@MrAdmirer Well, that’s an honest response.
@carrieanne that’s very smart. There’s lots of men that complain on here that most enthusiast women don’t respond, and they don’t realize that the first message sent and lack of reading the profile (or even scanning it) it why.
@xandriarain Yes, I’m an enthusiast and I have logistics on mine too like I will not meet without a brief video call to confirm identity so it shouldn’t be a surprise and anyone not comfortable with that, can just not message me to begin with.
@lonelytauros Do’s or Don’ts are a person’s boundaries, so anyone who sees that as a reason to scroll past them…
I always do, especially if it’s someone I might want to schedule an appointment with. I usually try to reference something from the profile in my initial message. I think pro’s appreciate that I took the time to actually read it (I hope they do, lol) & it also gives me info that tells me a little bit about the person and if it’s someone I would connect with.
There are a bahzillion untagged Pros, which is one reason men 1) don't read profiles and 2) assume every female is an untagged pro. Flag/report the men and women who are charging and are not Pros.
What happens to those accounts? They are suspended until they apply for Pro status. Some profiles are not subtle, are not platonic, and those profiles get banned without the option of applying - they're not suitable here in any capacity.
@AZcuddles602 - I sympathize. If guys can't take 30 seconds to read a profile, there's not much there to lend credence they'd follow site rules either.
I used to assume every new female cuddler was an enthusiast but now I assume the opposite because I'm not kidding something like 9 out of 10 turn out to be untagged pros or they get banned before long. It a female cuddler replies it usually means she's going to get banned or is an untagged pro. It's almost funny now. In a dark humor kind of funny.
@BiggieHugz That’s great. I’m not a pro, but I appreciate when people reference something I wrote in my profile.
@Sideon @Melancholy I had no idea there were untagged pros. That may explain it.
I always read before I message. I check age or gender preferences and whether they can host or not.
@Bear Exactly, me too. Also, which days they are available. I’m only available Sunday, so I don’t message if someone is only available Saturdays. The worse part is when someone messages me and asks me to change my schedule, like sir, I don’t know you. Why would you even ask that?
I do. I don't know who isn't but I make sure to read profiles.
@AZcuddles602 I think most people ask from their perspective, and not really the other persons. I see this a lot in every day life not just here.
I always read.
There are several reasons to read a profile, but one of the best ones is diligence. I have read profiles of people that were on in the last 24 hours that have city tour dates from weeks and months before. If they can’t even take care in keeping their profile current, then how much care do they put into a session? Another had on her profile “I am a 10. Need I say more?” That is arrogance and superficiality exhibited in that statement which definitely dissuaded me from booking her. So reading a profile is a two way street in that it can benefit both sides.
I mean really, so many do not read the note in my profile that says “So bring a shovel and let’s hide that body!” Having a cuddler show up without a shovel is so frustrating.
I always read a profile first. I feel like not doing so would waste the other person’s time if I asked questions that they clearly have already answered in their profile.
I most definitely always review the profile. Many have quite a bit of useful, helpful information.
@Bear Very true
@RaveHeart @teddybear888 @Charlie_Bear @helpnserveu Based on poll results which are 60/40 looks like you are in the majority. That’s really good to know that most men are reading it.
@FunCartel hilarious and your profile too
It's not just here, it's every site. Even women don't read profiles. Unfortunately, it's how the internet works.
