That is very true, as I have been in "relationships" like that many times over. And I am at a solid point in my life where my motto is:
There Are Worse Things To Be Than SINGLE!
Plus I do look forward to 50% off Valentines Day candy sales the following day as well.😁😜
oh my gosh, @Katota, I usually buy the discounted holiday candy also, Lol. This year my parents said no candy, we already eat too many sweets.
Yes, being in a marriage that makes you wonder how you are gonna stand the rest of your life is worse. I get tired of being single sometimes, but I never get tired of being divorced, LOL.

Yes it is worse, it took me being married to learn that marriage isn't MY thing. Lol!😆 Actually, living with a man (other than my son, who is not even close to being a man yet😜) isn't MY thing either.😆
I just like my own space and my own place where my own peace of mind matters. Hope that makes sense!😊

@Katota Lol, I should have explained myself better, but I am going on not enough sleep today. I usually don't buy the holiday candy for myself because I am picky about candy. This is kinda embarrassing now that I am saying it out loud. ha ha. I love Coke and some desserts, but only a few candies that tend to never be on sale (certain chocolate). Being married or living with someone isn't for me either.
I've never found Valentine's Day hard to get thru because I am single, but I totally get what the rest of you are saying about it. And it is kinda nice when it's over, Lol.

I just did a story about Valentine's Day for an editor. Interviewed a couple of dating coaches. I must admit I did NOT take a warm, fuzzy approach, Valentine's Day is one of those days when the world purposely tries to make you look like a second-class citizen if you're uncoupled. As mentioned above, New Year's Eve is another.

Valentine’s Day transcends bonded couple love and could be the perfect day just to tell all your friends out there how much she really appreciate them.
