I combined Monopoly with chess years ago. It seemed to work pretty well, except that only two players can play the chess part.
To play, begin Monopoly as usual, but only begin with the King on the chess board. All other pieces are purchased. The Queen is $1000, the Rook, Knight and Bishop are each $500, the pawns are each $100.
On your turn you either move your Monopoly piece or chess piece.
The game ends when the King is captured.
I'm wondering if it's possible to play games over online sessions here, like both cuddlers have the same games so they play together remotely?
2nd, I'm thinking of finding someone in person to play one of those one-time escape room games in hosted sessions, even if I host someplace public while I'm the client.

@PinetownCloud I just read your post after my last one. I know it's not the same as playing the physical board game, but a website like board game arena can be helpful to play together during a virtual cuddle session.
I went to a local boardgames bar while in Washington yesterday.... I am now forever hooked to the splendor boardgame....🤣🤣

My dad, uncle, and friends love to play Splendor... but I almost never win at that game. Once in a great while I do by luck.
I recently started playing this game on board game arena, and I LOVE it. Easy to learn, and fun for me, plus I love all the little dogs on the cards. Definitely added the physical game to my amazon list to get in the near future.

I grew up playing rummy, 500 with my parents and my grandma. When I was older, I used to really enjoy playing spades with the big boss and little boss. There’s a game I play with my mom all the time called a pig out where there were two pig that were used as dice so to speak. board games I really liked playing Pictionary with people that I’m connected to. I haven’t played too many of the more popular, European games and such. I haven’t had time lately to get into it more.
I'd be rusty, but I love playing cards and recently got a few new sets of playing cards. One is a waterproof deck that I am excited to try out. Spades, dominoes are my absolute favorite. Uno, memory game, blackjack, slapjack, spider, and I declare war are more faves. I like rummy because my bestfriend taught me it. I don't know the games everyone's listing but they look so much fun!

I used to play a lot of Tikal and other similar development games. That one in particular is great because there's pretty much no chance involved, just strategy. I like Blokus and chess. Sorry @CSnMUS87, I like Splendor too ;P
Scrabble was my favorite as a kid, but nobody wanted to play with me. It was embarrassing for an adult or my older siblings to lose to a child. (At 10, I was in the 300-400 point range.) I would play “No score,” just because I loved the game. I don’t like playing games with other people, I’m not a competitive person, except against myself.
@Connecticut1977 I’ve seen friendships end and physical fights over those 2 games.

@Halfnuggie I have a deck of the waterproof cards. While practical for outdoor use, I don't care for them as far as shuffling, dealing etc. They are too slick and slide around

I love strategy games. My favorite is chess. Followed by Risk and a very obscure board game called “Fortress America”.
