The Marketplace by Laura Antoniou. So far it's way better than that trash numbered shades of abuse at depicting actual healthy consent and power exchange negotiations. Seems like a promising series 😇 And hey, I'm happy to support anything that isn't dollar-store-fanfic-mascarading-as-BDSM.

The Birth Order Book by Kevin Leman. Fascinating insights about how birth order and age gaps between siblings create long lasting effects on children.
I used to be an avid reader when I was a little girl. Today I have a wall that’s up to the ceiling of just books. No shelving, no wood, just book. My friends thought it was a poster until they saw it in person. But if you snag a single book from it, the whole thing might come crashing down. They think it’s an art installation now.
My favorite book though would have to be Eye of the Needle by Ken Follett. The 2nd is a tie between The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry & Poor People by Fyodor Dostoyevsky. 3rd would be A Separate Peace by John Knowles.
Right now though I’m beginning to like reading a lot of unpublished work/content from sites like wattpad & reedsy. I like the raw, real, unedited personable feel it gives. Most recently I liked the short story “All the Lonely People” by Michelle Oliver on reedsy.
This was a free offering on Audible with my membership.
And I was pleased and surprised to hear one of my friends extensively quoted in two chapters on transportation.
@KYtransplant - thank you for the recommendation. A part of my work involves supply chain management so I just put that book at the top of my reading list and will start it a couple days when I finish the current book I am on.

now that the pool is open, I will finally get back into reading. I generally spend my late afternoons on Saturday and Sunday by the pool with beer and books. I'm going to finish American Psycho by Brett Easton Ellis and then I have David Bowie : The Oral History by Dylan Jones up next
