I gave up on most reality shows after the first couple Real World seasons and I did like Fear Factor for awhile. The shows that just follow the lives of people who stumble (or otherwise find themselves) into a lifestyle are not for me.

@carrieanne my mother watched CBS soap operas and I was hooked until my 20s. I was just chatting with a friend who watches and no joke, NOTHING HAS CHANGED! 🤣😂 @BeatlesHYH I was 26 before I saw the original Star Wars, my mother didn't allow us girls to watch science fiction. But soap operas were fine. LOLOL @Bear , @OhioAce17 , @RadiantHugs : ditto! @netrunner , you started 007 with Pierce Brosnan? Good choice (which some will probably debate me for saying.) I wasn't a fan of the first 3.5 James Bonds. Daniel Craig was grittier and darker than PB, but PB had the more believable 007 charisma.

Lost Sex and The City Game of Thrones Sometimes I’ll get into a show long after it’s popular, but mostly if it’s popular I stay away for some reason. Exception: Ted Lasso.
@AllAboutSoul - I’ve heard a lot of great things about GoT and I have it on my list of things to watch… eventually. I was a HUGE fan of Dexter but I didn’t start watching season one until the show was in about it 5th season.
Likewise, I didn’t start watching Breaking Bad until the entire series was over. Which had the benefit of allowing me to binge watch the entire series in about 6 weeks. I think it is the best TV series I have ever seen - such a work of art from the character development to the story arc, subtle symbolism, etc. I am May watch the whole series again while I have some down time this summer.

@Charlie_Bear "uncultured"? Nah... My tv list is ridiculously longer and quite incomplete (I should have listed what I have watched); I don't own a tv or stream shows/movies.
@JohnR1972 I saw 2 episodes of Breaking Bad a few years ago, but the relationship ended several days later and so did my viewing.
@AllAboutSoul - One of the many things I liked about Breaking Bad was how complete and seamless the story arc felt. It truly felt like the show’s creator had every episode of every season planned in detail before they filmed the first episode. They also made the story incredibly believable because they invested the time in character development so everyone behaved in a way that seemed perfectly natural and logical given what that character knew at the time.
The show also had a Dexter vibe to it because the main character, Walter White, was living a double life and was having to put a lot of effort into keeping his two worlds from colliding. However, despite his efforts to hide the truth and keep his worlds separate, events from his secret / criminal life have serious consequences in his public / normal life. It is a masterpiece of storytelling and ALL the characters were perfectly cast and absolutely own their roles. It is a modern day Aesop’s fable.
Back in the 1990's and after college while I was waiting to get my actual career launched, I took a job as an assistant manager at a local video store chain. During the few years time I was there, I amassed a vast knowledge of movies from the 1960's to the 1990's. I would talk movies all day at work, and a LOT of my time out of work was watching movies and TV shows of the time.
Now, I rarely watch TV at ALL (sports, video games and I do still try to keep up on some movies) so I am totally out of the loop on what is pop culture in terms of TV/Movies. So yeah, from the late 1990's on, I probably have not seen it. And in the movies, I am just not into the whole DC and Marvel stuff at ALL. I have NOT seen more than I have seen. I have not seen any of those Fast and Furious movies.
