Yesterday my roommate and I were at a buffet and when I got to the bottom of my waffle cone after inhaling my soft serve, they gave me this look that they wanted it. It's their favorite part of the cone because all the ice cream just sits at the bottom, soaked into the cone.
I gave it to them and they just had the biggest grin on their face, from ear to ear. It was infectious.

At the river today there were soooo many ducklings and goslings! Like, some nesting pairs has 8-12 babies! This must have been a very safe winter for them despite the weird weather we've had in CA.
A mama duck brought her 9 babies right up to us - clearly people had been feeding them. They apparently wanted to be my partner's best friends as they returned several times over the course of the day to wait patiently near him waiting for food 🤣
There was also an Irish Wolfhound who came through and apparently didn't know how to swim and couldn't figure out he was literally tall enough to just walk across 😅 watching the poor pup whine at the geese he wanted to chase but couldn't figure out how to get to when he was only knee deep in still water was hilarious.

Visited the zoo for the first time in a very long time, sat on a bench near a waterfall, I closed my eyes and for a few minutes completely forgot I was in the middle of a city. Little moments like that (and cuddles) are what makes us forget the real world.

The plumber not only told me I had good taste in music (I had instrumental piano/guitar floating through the house when he came in), but he also commented twice on how clean and tidy I keep the house, so that really made me smile, as I certainly hadn't been expecting company, before the need for a plumber exploded under my kitchen sink. 🤭
