@Charlie_Bear or they are a chef/baker, nurse, teacher, or dancer 😂 I've held out about as long as I can but my baker sis finally giving in and getting them means I'm on the short list lol. My poor dancers feet could sure use them.
And HELL NO to Vans or Converse. I've had 2 pairs of canvas shoes like that in my adult life and have regretted it both times. With my recurrent plantar fasciitis and other foot & joint issues from dance, my poor feet need support. Plus I have crazy high & flexible arches so if I don't support them when I have to stand long hours I end up rolling in. And no one can argue I have weak feet, else I challenge you to a foot duel lol
Birkenstocks, Teva, or similar for sandals - must have formed footbed, wide toe box, and not be a flip flop style. Sneakers are always pricey stabilizing running shoes with green Super Feet insoles (life savers). I also love me my Danskos when I can afford them. If I must get cheaper shoes, you better believe those Super feet insoles are going in them and/or I'm getting off my feet ASAP 😂 I'd rather walk barefoot than wear crummy shoes that are all style and no support.

I recently found out this year that Mike Judge picked crocs for his film Idiocracy, because they were the goofyish shoe he could fine to be in the future. Thinking that they were cheap, and nobody would wear them.

American made Red Wing steel toe boots or the happiest Crocs flip flops I can find. There is no in-between.
And I can spend 12 to 14 hrs a day in the boots just fine. Half that time in anything else and I have blisters.

@ElKabong I did...and I have been wearing them to work 😅 They have been great conversation starters at least since there seems to be a lot of gamers in my office. I even had a guy tell me he liked my crocs and asked what my favorite pokemon was in a 7-Eleven haha
The show "Jury Duty" on Prime is the best one day binge I've seen in a really long time!! I totally recommend it if you have a few hours (don't spoil it for yourself by reading up on it, and for sure skip the next episode previews).
I just finished it and am already looking forward to watching it again! Except next time it'll be while cuddling with my partner and belly laughing through the entire thing together!!
