That's a beautiful arrangement and rendition of a heart-wrenching song.
It touches something so raw and fundamentally human. The desire to belong, and the fear that we don't.

I have a lot to go through. I forgot something else I can throw on when I need to clear the tear ducts is the finale to the show Six Feet Under. Still my most favorite finale of all time.
This is probably an odd entry into the mix, but this song breaks my heart for deeply personal reasons - a song about children having their beautiful, unique spirits sacrificed by authority figures on the alter of conformity.
My top 3 emotional tear jerkers are :
1.) The Green Book : (based on true Story) Acclaimed Dr. Don Shirley is a Black world class pianist in the early 1960’s who was on tour from Manhattan to the Deep South/Maison-Dixon Line. The Italian hand he hired to transport him to upper class clients safely, they end up going through a wild series of events that bond them together for a life time while breaking all racial and societal standards of their modern times.
2.) Precious : This movie is just an emotional roller coaster 🎢 all on its own accord. Every actor on this movie needed therapy after its release and it is not hard to see why. Plus anything with Mo’nique in it is going to have you leaving with a painful enlightenment and food for thought at the same time ☝🏾
3.) I Could’ve been your cell mate : Beyond using her gift of comedy to mend wounded hearts, she dedicates her time and compassion to a community of imprisoned and forgotten woman at one of America’s most notorious female prisons located in Ohio. She encourages the woman housed there to keep their heads high and still love themselves although the rest of society has marked and deemed them as unimportant, unworthy and unwanted. She angles to view the woman though a different lens of life while working to bring them closer to one another while they are serving their time. Just an absolutely beautiful picture to watch. It will change you !!!

@charlie_bear - I enjoy Only Murders in the Building too. The scene is sweet and tender. The minor key 🥹 and the idea of being encouraged to go and explore and there being someone waiting not he shore who’s love is a light house. Gah!

My most recent meltdown was at the Ryman Auditorium watching Amy Grant perform in the Christmas special she and Vince Gill put on. It was her and her pianist doing Breath of Heaven - I was a mess, silently weeping.
and I came UNDONE after watching The Notebook.
When I was a very young boy there was either a TV show or documentary or nature show that showed the cruelty of the clubbing of baby seals for their white fur. I cried so hard watching it, had dreams about it. My age now I still remember the feelings I felt.
@JohnR1972 ~ Kelly Clarkson's "Because Of You" is kind of like that to me.
@Syins Dayum, that guy has amazing voice control. I do like the gravel, though I'd love to hear him sing pure, as well. Sheer talent, miss the days when you didn't have to be a triple threat to be a massive star, just have an incredible voice.

This film is a reminder of so many things.
The Dogma '95 film, The Celebration (1998). Handheld cameras, natural lighting, location shooting, no script, no added music, shot all in one take. If you ever wanted to confront a family member (In this case the father) at the dinner table of a family gathering, this movie shows you how it's done and what to expect.
I only took this thread to refer to movie or TV scenes...if we're including songs, I could go on for days, because music is what really gets me deep.

There is a voice and musical artist so beautifully enchanting with her lyrics, songwriting and well crafted emotion, Laufey; Icelandic Chinese songwriter. Her newest album Bewitched. Tracks : Letter to my 13 year old self California and Me Bewitched
I have been singing on repeat. It’s a cleansing cry 😿 when I heard her first and second albums. Disney princess crooner with songstress jazz vibes of modern folklores is how I describe her voice but her music really is beautiful. Humming along while maybe house cleaning, driving my car, walking around and even though it strongly affected me to break down the first time I heard California and Me… still listen to it and it heals and soothes. The breath and voice work on this artist. So beautifully composed with emotions.
Larkin Poe also resonates mellow vibes they pull the water works and they redo many old covers with such ownership and gusto.
Give these artists albums a listen.

@sage91436 oh wow. Yes poor Artax. He died because he had sorrow in his big horse heart and on his mind that he couldn’t shake. Dying because of your own despair is so sad. When depression really has ahold of me it certainly feels it’s pulling me inexorably into a murky swamp from which there’s no escape.
