What is your reason for cuddling, whether you're a pro or not?

For me, cuddling is one aspect of my job as a somatic coach and guide and I've been so grateful to drop in with people like this. I often am guiding people into their bodies, dancing and movement and to be in closer contact with people has been so nourishing

It's a harmless enjoyable thing to do and an interesting way to meet new people. Sorry it's just not that deep for me . No earth shattering new agey revelations or anything self helpish. I view it as a hobby of sorts if that makes sense.

  • I miss you a lot

  • I’m a caregiver by nature. I like to take care of people. It also helps me with my self love.

  • An escape of sorts

I had heard that it is the current trend, so I wanted to jump on the bandwagon. No but seriously years ago my friend told me about cuddle sanctuary and I actually cuddled with the founder Jean and enjoyed it. The only reason why I stopped It was a little bit too far to drive to Santa Monica on a regular basis.

  • I’m the most introverted social butterfly ever. It’s the perfect balance.

  • I love being a safe space for others because I was taught the whole, "Be for others what you would like them to be for you." I am a super touchy-feely person and being a cuddler gives me the chance to work with others that are missing out on some of those touches. It gives me the warm fuzzies.

  • I needed something positive, something that made me feel needed or important also. When you loose a connection it makes you feel that less needed or important. I also have ptsd from a prior job it helps with so being safe about cuddling a stranger is important to me.

  • Solace and intimacy...

  • I'm much MUCH more cautious about physically touching or hugging people than I was a couple of decades ago. I used to have lots of friends I was on hugging terms with, but then I moved and started a professional life, which made that kind of friendly touch much less common. I get why this is so and given that I am a man, I get it even more so. But I miss it so much - I so often want to hug people I encounter. The impulse is totally non-sexual but still, it doesn't matter how good the intentions are, I'm not going to risk skeeving someone out with my exuberant affection. But I do have a lot of exuberant affection and it's nice that there is a place I can seek an outlet for that.

  • I'm a caring & nurturing individual so I'm here to provide comfort & safe space ❤️🤗.
