Time to talk

  • "Hey, we need to talk."
    translation:
    You're in deep trouble.

  • I used to like texting only until I got my hearing aids last week.

  • @hey_nikky at work, for the sake of efficiency, I prefer to pick up the phone and call. that's how I can deal with two mental midgets at the same time. deal with one over the phone, while typing back and forth with another.

  • @Sooson as soon as I started my job I unplugged my desk phone

  • @hey_nikky How did you get away with that? or did you?

  • @Sooson all company calls are through teams. So nobody from the company realized πŸ˜‚

  • @hey_nikky As a GENERAL rule the younger the person the more anxiety and less patience they have in actually speaking in the phone.

    Its a total generational thing.

  • "@hey_nikky you're so fine
You're so fine, you blow my mind
    Hey nikky."

Yeah, I know it's Mickey, not nikky.
But I just had to get that off my chest.

  • @RedFox16 My pet peeve: when someone sends a text, and then immediately follows it up with "hey, did u get my text just now?"

  • @TxTom Right!? Immediately police for that too! πŸ˜’

@WestsideMarc but what about all the young peeps (pre cell phones) who stretched the phone cord across the whole house ....to the closet so they could sit in there all night and talk? πŸ˜‚

  • @TxTom only men do that πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  • @RedFox16 someone clearly was well off as a kid… my parents would have KILLED me if I talked on the phone all night. shivers unless it was my grandma 5 mins max. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Don’t mind me. I’m a jellybean. I still blame people who had the Disney channel in the 90s for having their basic childhood needs met. Like food, shelter and Disney?! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—

  • If I called girls in high school with the land line I usually hung up when the dad answered.

    @TxTom
Don't worry. I giggle every time someone says it

  • More than once in high school I tried calling girls and ended up talking to their moms for a while. πŸ˜…

25 years later I spend 1500 bucks on a phone to carry in my pocket with the ringer and vibrate off so I don’t even have to panic if someone calls, including someone I would really want to cuddle.

  • @NickWk I mean same but I also use it for 9346464959595 other things. Cf. @SunsetSnuggles 's favorite apps thread. πŸ“±

  • @NickWk 😏 Remind me to call you.

  • Haha @stormydaycuddle yeah, we got the "5 min max" threat/rule too...but ANY time we could get away with talking longer, we would take it! 😜😜😜 (We, cuz I have 4 sibs....5 of us total) Teenagers huh? πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

But no matter how long we got for our turn, the main floor hall closet always seemed the most private for whatever reason πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ And until they came out with cordless landlines....we stretched the crap out of the phone cord!! ☎️

Yeah @jplemmon .... For some reason dads didn't seem to answer phones very often back then. But when they did, it scared me just as much too!! 😜😧😧😧

  • @NickWk Yeah....samesies 😐 And then when you lose your phone, it's futile since no one can call it for you to locate (being on silent and all) πŸ₯΄

  • I only have a phone for the weather, online pool and cuddle comfort. If you want to talk I will be at the payphone on the corner of 3rd and west everyday at 4:20pm! The number is....

  • @RedFox16 but then occasionally you would get the dreaded *69 callback =)

  • I try to avoid talking in the phone at all costs. I really don’t like it.
