Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind was my first experience with anime. When I was a kid, I owned a butchered version of it on VHS called Warriors of the Wind. The company who had the U.S. distribution rights at the time wanted to turn it into a children's action movie, so they cut out parts they felt was slow moving destroying the plot in the process.
I enjoyed it when I was a kid, but after Walt Disney secured the rights to it and released an uncut version, I realized how much I was missing.

Anime and Japanese RPGs such as Final Fantasy are related. If you're fan of JRPGs, you'll probably love anime. Japanese storytelling is like crack. Once you try it, you can't get enough.

I'm behind on my anime. I honestly haven't watched anything current so does Sailor Moon count? 😂😂 I was introduced to an anime in high school. Like....2009/2010ish. Anywho, I haven't been able to remember the name and it's honestly really driven me insane for years because I loved it. I also used to really enjoy The Prince of Tennis

I used to be turned off by anime because I thought the animation style looked cheesy. If you actually get into it and watch a few episodes, they contain the most deep and diverse storylines I've ever seen exploring every theme imaginable. Most American made movies/TV shows are all the same.
One of the best opening themes. It's from the anime "Classroom of the Elite" about students who go to an elite school and try to reach the top of the class. It's actually really good. It's not as boring as it sounds.

My oldest started us on watching My Hero Academia and it’s got the whole household in a chokehold. As soon as she’s done with homework and piano we immediately all sit down to watch at least 3 episodes. 😭
I really got into anime after playing this game. I didn't give two shits about the gameplay. I was only interested in the story.
