@DulceLuna I hope that helps ☺️
@1_teddybear It would make a difference to me. I personally still wouldn’t pay, but I would be more open to scheduling something with a guy who has been through consent training. Consent training is actually helpful, and I feel should be a pre-req to cuddling in general. It might get you more initial sessions, probably more follow-up sessions, and definitely make women less uncomfortable with cuddling men in general.
@pmvines “I would defer to man vs bear”
lol 😂
@1_teddybear Honestly, for me, a male Pro having a certification wouldn't make me any more likely to seek one out, for the reasons mentioned here.
I don't have struggles finding safe guys to cuddle for free, and I'm not looking for any type of, shall we say, "therapist". My mental health professionals have that covered.
When a good friend from here told me he had paid for cuddle training, I wished I had known sooner so I could have let him know how low the demand is for male cuddlers. He was very disappointed and concerned, when he found out. I would have felt misled by the people who sold me the package, if I were him.
That being said, I'm sure what people learn in those courses is valuable to them as individuals, and could come in helpful in other areas of life...but if men are hoping for a return on investment, that is very unlikely to occur.
In other words, if you're interested in doing it for personal growth, go for it. 💫 But I don't envision it bringing in female clients. 🫂

Honestly I’m just broke. I can’t afford to pay someone.
…
@carrieanne I've noticed that many female pros want their male clients to be at least as giving as they are. It is quite possible that you could find a male enthusiast that could fill that bill.
@SunsetSnuggles-i honestly don't remember if the platforms even had sexual identity questions. This was years ago via Cuddlr. I am basically straight (not sure how anyone can be ALL the way straight when Idris Elba and Julie Delpy just exist in the world) and thought it was just everyone looking for specifically platonic connections. I was so naïve
.
@carrieanne Ironically if a guy did want what you wanted, he would be quite frustrated by the situation.
….
@carrieanne I agree.
@carrieanne I completely agree with you. I'm also a professional, and I even if there's no set training/certification on how to be one I do take my role as one very seriously! I am also a giver and and emphath, so as a paid professional I'm always focused on my client and making sure they're feeling safe, relaxed and understood. It's not easy to "switch" out of that mode when I'm providing a service as a professional cuddler. So, yes, I would pay for a professional cuddler as well just to be able to fully surrender to being cuddled and cared for. ☺️
@carrieanne , @achetocuddle, I never said anything about all men. I know what my boundaries are, and what I would offer to a cuddle partner. I know the limitations of honesty on these forums, so I am not going to engage with you further. I do hope you find what you seek.
Before I joined as an enthusiast, there was one I wanted to hire. Then I joined and saw all the enthusiasts I could see. So I did that. I’d still like to hire the one I initially spotted. Our schedules haven’t worked out yet. I’m now a pro, because I love cuddling and needed more work hours. There is another I have hired. Haven’t seen him yet, but his rate was super low, and he looks like a cozy cuddler, and I want to support him in his journey into cuddling. It’ll be a new experience for me since he will be the one being the pro. But I honestly don’t think it’ll be much different because I enjoy cuddling, and it’s just the cherry on the top that I can do this as one of my jobs.
Everyone makes generalisations.
Just glance back through this and I'm noticing safety come up a lot. Does safety decrease because your paying or increase? That's weird that it would be a point in this discussion unless you'd be safer when paying. At least some one has account information to the person, while the others could be entirely made up.
Just my thought carry on.
Many reasons
tHERE IS NOT MUCH OF A SEMMAND FOR MALE PROS.
New here but got this message from a desperate male pro who does not even live in my area 😂
Please do not post identifiable information from other people's profiles in the forum. Any concerns that you have should be reported. -Moderator
@trixster Welcome to the site! I'm sorry you received a creepy message.
The fact that it came from a male Pro is just disgusting...
Everyone...this is exactly why I said earlier that being a Pro doesn't prove safety, professionalism, or goodwill, whatsoever. sigh
Some info for you, trixster...
Pro's are not allowed to solicit clients unless they have visited the Pro's profile, first. You can report him to the site for this.
Any person singling you out for your race, including in a "positive" manner (AKA fetishizing you), is inappropriate. You can report him for this.
Our lovely "Pro" here cannot read, as you've clearly stated in the Facts section of your profile that your age range is 18-22. He's 52. Beyond the stupidity here, this is creepy and predator-like behavior. You can report him for this.
Lastly, unfortunately, the site doesn't allow people to post another person's identifying information here, such as username and picture, though I completely understand why you did. You can edit it with that info cropped out, if you like, or the mods can take care of it for you.
Please do report this creeper, and anyone else approaching you in this (or similar, or worse) way. I already reported him myself, as his behavior is concerning to the rest of the community.
Peeps...this is why the Pro badge means nothing on a site that doesn't vet or require credentials of any kind.
Have your own safety protocols, ask the questions that are important to you, and follow your gut.
@Mike403 Well, in all fairness, he claimed in his message that he's in New Braunfels, which isn't far from Austin. One point for that.
But otherwise, yeah, minus about 1000 points for everything else wrong with his message
I’ve only had one female client so far in my cuddling “career” if you can call it that; agreed that I wish there were more female enthusiasts!! She was one of my best cuddles by far!
As someone who got a perv client early on (he got banned immediately), I’m MUCH choosier and more careful about the vibe i get from prospects. I’ve found many absolutely lovely male enthusiasts but many, many more I’ve just ignored because it didn’t feel right.
Femmes, in the general sense, are much more conscious of boundaries and how they come across so the caution feels less necessary.
@BashfulLoner Having not joined yet, I thought it seemed safer. But once I viewed it all after joining, safety is in our own hands in either case.
As a more or less retired pro, I can offer an anecdote.
The vast majority of my meetups have been with guys who wanted to push boundaries, despite stating otherwise multiple times during screening. This lines up with my experiences dating men as well, which has formulated a converged opinion that while not all men, but a lot, are not genuine with their words and intentions. This is one of the reasons I retired, it got scary for me. I think I had 2 clients total who were good cuddlers and didn’t try to get “more” out of it, more being anything from grabbing my boobs to straight up offering cash for sex, or trying to initiate sex, or rubbing their erections on my leg or butt, or whatever.
So the reason I’m back now is actually to find a cuddle partner because it is now my time of need, and I immediately went to women. I’ve never hired a pro, but having lived it I know that there is a mutual understanding of how this is supposed to go, how the initial conversation is supposed to establish, etc.
The last part is that by and large, women are much more in tune with emotions than men because they feel the world differently. (Exceptions exist of course.) Estrogen is a hell of a thing.
As for the original question, I think it’s a large combination of factors. If we’re talk about men seeking other men, I feel like it falls into the same category as why women don’t seek professional men typically. One of which being that access to, and supply of men willing to cuddle is available in many places outside of this website, where as access to and supply of women willing to cuddle is much harder to come by because of some of the reasons I listed in the beginning of my comment.
I’m sure there are many other factors, and facets to this issue, but this is my take based on my experience on Earth.

@BashfulLoner from what I've read, safety with men paid or unpaid is a risky gamble.
@bear risk is not unique to women or men. It's not unique to pros or enthusiast. This is a risky situation for all parties, you have to choose appropriately how you engage. Use what ever precautions you can and then don't blame an entire community for a poor decision on your part.
@BashfulLoner Hear here!
