In what context do I consider tipping, and generally, how much? Is it based on the cuddle fee and some generalized tip amount or percentage, i.e., restaurant tips?
I usually tip 15% to cover the CC fee.
@ijustwanthugs You're awesome for this!
IMO Tips aren’t at all necessary for a Pro. But that’s up to you. They choose their own hourly rate, I would think they wouldn’t expect more than the $$ amount they’ve decided to charge. At least I didn’t as a Pro. Possibly if one is discounting their normal rate, then in that case yes I’m sure it’s appreciated. I don’t think it’s normally expected to pay extra. Just my opinion, I didn’t when I charged for cuddling sessions.
It’s not something expected! Ever! But yea, a lot of pros appreciate it. If you feel they did an amazing jobs giving you all the right snuggles, it’s a nice compliment 🤗🤗 some do the 15% to cover the fee the site collects from us. If you ever feel like tipping, just do what’s comfortable for you. A proper pro cuddler will appreciate it whether it’s $5 or $50 🌸
Definitely what @Sheena123 and @g_w_t_w said! Never expected, not necessary, but certainly appreciated.
@justwanthugs “to cover the fee” This is an excellent motivation for tipping!
I too tip at least to cover the booking fee. It is a simple gesture that I believe is only fair.
@MattMiles Then I'd like to express the same sentiment in you being awesome for this.
@FriendlyFemale Thank you.
Ditto what @justwanthugs said.
I'll echo the others. Tips are never expected but definitely appreciated no matter what the amount. 😊
There is no generalized tip amount or percentage. If you want to tip, do what you are comfortable with but do not feel obligated.
For those that want to tip a percentage: 15% is nice as it covers the site fee.
I will also echo what others have written.
I in no way expect tips and the booking fee is something I considered when deciding on my hourly rate. I do appreciate and am grateful for tips, especially to offset the 15% fee.
I take back some of what I said because it’s such a thoughtful gesture to cover the 15% fee. Some very thoughtful cuddlers who would do that.
@justwanthugs thats a great idea. I always wondered what protocol is. That is perfect.
I give tips like “You must know that when venturing out into the woods, one should refrain from eating the yellow snow.” I give these tips in 15 words or more. So 15 words instead of percent. But my tips are golden.
@TheFunCartel I'm impressed by that double pun.
@TheFunCartel: Your quote would have been better if it had been 15 words, so no Gold for you; however, it is excellent advice, especially for the inexperienced, who might possibly become attracted to xanthous, iced crystals, so I'll allow for Silver. 🥈
I've met a number of pros who truly did not expect tips, but of course appreciated receiving them. As an aside, one of my favorite cuddlers was ecstatic that I gave her my copies of cherished books (yes, I also tipped her).
However, for every pro profile like hers, or those of you who are chiming in on this thread, there are multiple pro profiles which ask directly for tips in their bios i.e. they expect tips. It's an interesting contrast.
Whenever I see a pros profile and it says, tips are welcome or appreciated, I move on. I find it annoying. How would you react if your waiter or waitress started the conversation by saying hello, I’m so and so, I’ll be your waitress, tips are welcome and appreciated. I also skip pros that have the word goddess in their screen name but that’s a whole other conversation.
Beaides, most pros that I’ve cuddled with say they include the sites fee in their rate.
Oh, I GOTTA try and grab the next comment! My new bestie, Becka the Banana Slug, who I met a couple of weeks ago on a hike, agrees. I think she's a pretty, yellow goddess. 🐌
@Morpheus While I don't expect tips, I have gotten asked enough about it for me to mention it on my profile which I wouldn't be surprised if that's why others have listed something about it too. "Tips appreciated but never required."
@Morpheous I believe most pros who mention it in their profiles do so because they get asked frequently, not because they expect it. Pros rarely put unnecessary info in there - it usually grows organically based off of FAQ. It's more akin to having a tip jar out available than to a waitress asking at greeting - it's there to show availability and openness, while not expressing expectation the way adding it to the end of a receipt would. If they were going to show it was expected, it'd likely be phrased more akin to the way travel fees are.
Never feel obligated to tip. If you generally are a tipper, then go ahead. But don't feel like like you have to tip 15% to cover CC fee's, that's a ridiculous notion. It's just the cost of playing poker for the pro's. If they don't like, start your own site.
I can't think I'd ever tip but if for some reason a pro offered a free session or one that was heavily discounted then I would insist on paying something that was at least halfway reasonable in comparison to a professional massage which is the basis I use on what I would be willing to pay.
Pros, if you have a session with a client after the initial session, do you book through the site? If not, do you lower your price because you now don’t have a site fee?
(Pushes @Sooson over on the cuddle couch) "Brought extra, I'll share."
@starrynitecuds Thank you. I was hearing crickets until you showed up.
@Sooson I beat the 1 hour buzzer by mere seconds. Now shush, let's watch the show!
