My 12 year old cat Jaka passed away a few weeks ago .. I’m heartbroken 💔

I’m so sorry and it’s heartbreaking to lose our pets. Such a difficult thing to cope with, But taking one day at a time and that’s all you can do, it gets easier. After I lost my little dog I got a very soft stuffed animal that looked just like him. Maybe it sounds silly, but it really helped me through a tough time. It’s been six years since he passed and I still miss him so much. Hope you can have some cuddles to help. 🥰

I'm very sorry for your loss. It's very painful 😭 & heartbreaking 💔 whenever our fur babies passed away. I have many pets my entire life so I know how you feel. Unfortunately their life spans is much shorter than ours. In my own experience with dealing with pet loss, I would cry a lot, it could last for several weeks or months. Crying helps with the grieving process & releasing sorrow & pain. I also called pet loss support hotline whenever I need someone compassionate to talk to as well as attend pet loss support group meetings. You're in NYC. I remember Animal Medical Center on East 62nd Street, NYC has a Pet Loss Support Program that meets every other week when I still residing in NY years ago, check to see if it's still ongoing. I have no words.. the pain is overwhelming.. she was healthy and happy..I took her to Nashville with me for one week.. pet friendly hotel.. I had a fever one night out of nowhere and the same night I noticed she was lethargic and having problem breathing.. I took her to a 24 hr emergency animal hospital.. they said to euthanize her .. I said no way.. I took her with me .. they said it looked like CHF.., fluid in the lungs and abdomen.. they gave me lasix and gabapentin to give her.. I took her home and I had five more weeks with her.. she died in my arms..
That's a nice picture for your home screen. It's always hard to lose an animal.

She looks like a day mode version of my Jade. I was heartbroken when she passed. Every kitty I've adopted since has been a ball of needles and death, but she was such a cuddly fluff. My condolences.
