Laundry Room

Inspired by the "vacation" thread---would suggesting a clothes laundry (don't know the proper name--just know I have visited a few in the past) location for a CC session be appropriate? Not sure one could cuddle there but there are interesting people to meet! Wondering if people would share some off-the-wall locations where mebers met for a session?

  • I think you mean Laundry Mat. The public place ppl go to do their laundry?

I suppose it would be a neutral, safe place for a 'size each other up' meeting. One would at least be able to get laundry done lol But it might feel weird for some

I usually like to meet at a peaceful protest because it’s a good way to get some exercise and participate in the arts

  • This is besides the point but I think the correct term is, laundromat.

  • Duplicate thread

  • This thread is a wash.

  • I imagine the restful white noise sound of the washers and dryers making a peaceful location for a nice cuddle. Maybe stacking some down comforters in a corner for cuddling? I’m sure no one would even notice or think it’s weird at all. 😱

Meanwhile, I had some crazy imagery visualization about this Site as>>>>

Being the inside of a beautiful cheerful house, living area with sectional sofas, soft cushions. beautiful art and pleasant music.
Chocolate chip cookies in the oven in the kitchen, Cheerful people gathered for cuddling. Down the hall, there are cozy bedrooms for quieter snuggling.

But then there’s the Creepy Basement of the Forum Dwellers.
Dark and gloomy, stale air. sad, miserable, argumentative people gathered, checking their apps, playing weird video games. Dust in the air.

I need to go back upstairs.

  • No, I wouldn't cuddle in a laundromat. Too hot. Chairs are uncomfortable. And the workers aren't usually friendly.
I cuddled for several hours in the furniture dept at a store. Staff didn't care, it was deserted. Love seats and oversized recliners, no beds.

  • 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

@g_w_t_w henceforth I shall evermore think of the CC forums as "the basement"

  • How about jumping together into one of those giant dryers and cuddle in there ? If you're brave enough you can try while it's spinning.

@Sooson I can see the name of the laundromat now, Clean ‘N’’ Cuddle

  • Laundromats are depressing. Dirty and filled with unhappy people dealing with a crappy chore who don't have a washer and dryer at home. Like a last stop before purgatory. If someone wanted to cuddle with me there I would be like, eww. Just being honest.

  • I agree with @Auroradream. The last one I was inside was gross. Some may be cleaner, but lots of better options out there.

    Cuddling in a laundromat?
    Seriously?

Charlie the Mod JUST posted the other day about not posting “rubbish threads” yet here is another one of yours. You don’t seem like a troll and we’re all supposed to be friends here, but cuddling in a laundromat? Please stop.

And the snobby comment of the year goes to….

From my own experience of asking a few real Cuddlers if they are aware of the forum. I just get a blank look. They said no and they don’t seem to have any interest in it at all.
I think a very small percentage of people ever even get on the forum.
My recommendation is spending more time upstairs less time in the basement. But there’s a train wreck on the basement TV, and it’s hard to look away.

@Morpheus I was typing a response and then saw yours, so I just stopped yea what else is there to say? it speaks for itself.

  • @WestsideMarc LOL it's our new friend Dennis, he's an out of the box thinker you know

Not bad! I like it. Can also set up a moon howling corner so not to disturb the other guests.

Haha, Lemon. Did you see the Impractical Jokers episode where they did cuddle @ IKEA? 🤣 Funny stuff

  • I didn't. But I have gone to Ikea with friends to take profile pictures in some of the furniture sets. And for lunch also, of course.

  • That sounds horrible. My anxiety would have me on edge the whole time. The sounds of the machines running could be nice, but the buzzers going off, the other people on their phones, kids playing mobile games or watching videos way too loud, other kids crying, all the frustrated people coming in and out, the heat from the dryers…I’d rather drop my laundry off and cuddle somewhere more peaceful with a bit more privacy like at a park or something. Plus how weird would it be to be taking up the limited seating there cuddling with other people staring at you. Def not for me.

Yes, I don’t even know what to say.

  • I agree aurora and cuddlehugs01234. Some of the people at the laundromat scare me.

Yes, gtww, I've talked to people who think the forum is pointless and time-wasting at best. And some people work and study so many hours they can't consider spending time on a forum. And like one person whose first language was not English said "I don't care about that sh*t", lol. Being on the forum is a lot like having a lot of disposable income. Many people are busy from the time they get out of bed until the end of the day studying and/or working a lot of hours. Time for a forum would be a luxury for them even if they were interested.

  • @Morpheus come on man you don't know me like that. Since I've been called out for being snobby...
Dude, I'm the youngest of 11 children I was lucky to have clean clothes from the current decade. I know precisely how depressing a laundromat can be bc I don't have a washer and dryer at home myself. Luckily I can go do my wash at an ex's house occasionally which is (barely) less eww than a laundromat.
Yes, it's a crappy chore, so? I do loads and loads every week because I'm a caregiver and my patients always need it done. I get home and there's MORE laundry.
The laundry nearest me has poker machines complete with overflowing ashtrays. Maybe actually it's Purgatory.
So, excuuuuuuse me for having my own opinion and here's why. Another opinion, BE NICE

  • I wish Morpheus would be nice too.
