How early can you come for a cuddle session?

edited May 2024 in General

I have been wondering, pros, how early are you okay with people coming for cuddle session. Like do you prefer them coming right when it starts, or is 5-10 minutes early okay to come to a cuddle session?

  • Almost every time a cuddles shows up early and texts “I’m here! May I come in?”, I’m still putting the finishing touches on making my bed or brushing my teeth. I can’t speak for everyone, but I prefer my clients be as on time as the situation allows.

I'm good with people coming 5 to 10 beforehand or right on time if I've met them before and we are comfortable. It depends though. I have met people before I was on CC where they had anxiety and-or Autism and they would need time to warm up before we touched.

My goal after all is to look at and treat everyone as an individual, and be a person one can feel safe with. I have found this is different for different people.

In general, when I'm meeting someone for the first time 10 to 15 minutes before is good so we can talk. I don't charge people until we actually start cuddling because I think it is important not to rush meeting someone new. This is exactly what I did as an LMT, and I have tried to bring much of what worked for me with massage therapy into cuddling.

  • For me, up to 15 minutes early is fine but I prefer close to time.
However, If traffic or something delays you, please let me know asap with new ETA.

  • Please don't arrive early!

  • This is something you would probably have to work out with each individual you plan to meet up with. Everybody is not the same and Have their own routines and such. Talk to the person you want to cuddle with and also check their profile out. If you're going to a professional then find somebody that works with what you prefer. If you're going to enthusiast find out what they're comfortable with and what you are comfortable with.

Up to 15 minutes early is fine with me, but no more than that.

  • I usually text my pro and say I’m here, let me know when it’s okay to walk up.

  • I like perfect timing, right on time.

  • When I tell my hubby I have a cuddle for 2pm for example, he knows to leave 10-15 minutes prior to so there’s no awkward feeling between anyone and my snuggler can feel comfortable. If he comes early, my hubby and I are finishing up stuff or sitting and watching tv. So it’s a bit awkward lol
And when I’m hosting at a hotel, I set up my projector and all my lights and everything in between and I usually plan all of that to be done just in time and then I brush my teeth and use the washroom. If you show up early, I’m a bit busy most likely peeing 😅😅😅

  • I always meet at a Starbucks or cafe at least 20 minutes before going to the cuddle location.. never give out the address without first meeting in public ..I want to make sure the person is dressed appropriately ..we should get along nicely and feel comfortable with each other before our session..

I'm a pro, but I do not host. I've shown early both times (and actually ran over time as well) but I don't charge added cost. One of my things is to not set an alarm, and just check periodically. This is why I always hope clients book at least 2 hours cuz time flies when good vibes/convo is flowing.

I always try to arrive a bit early as GPS is usually pretty good about arrival times, but it's not perfect.
But that leaves the dilemma, what to do if I am going to arrive early. If it seems appropriate and safe for the area, like a hotel, I will just wait in my car until the appointment time, but if it's a low traffic residential area at night, well if I park in front of the house, I might find the local Sherriff pulling up behind me asking what I'm doing there.
So, I like to check out the satellite view and identify a good waiting place close by, maybe a few minutes away, and when the GPS says the estimated arrival time is near the appointment time, head there.

  • As a guest, I usually show up five minutes early to right on time. It's always a balancing act between my anxiety not being triggered while waiting too long, and not rushing my cuddler. I always provide an updated ETA if I'm running late, plus I usually let them know when I make it home.

  • just text if i'm nearby to ask if she's ready. if not, i hang back, take a walk etc. sometimes they've been glad i was there 20 or so minutes early, can knock out the session earlier.

I love anyone who communicates. Almost 99% of my appointments the person comes to me. If you arrive early, just text me, I might be ready. But I am the type who considers it a win if I am ready five minutes before an appointment so I most likely won’t be ready early. But you never know until you ask.

The best is arriving on the nose but that happens about half the time.

  • Sometimes it's necessary to arrive very early to make sure you find parking ok. So you wait in your car, or whenever you want to wait, until your professional is ready.

  • Just-in-time.

I usually can't start until the exact time because of my crazy schedule (and yes, my ADHD... I'm working on it. 😅) But I need prep time, and I can't always get to my office early. One time I was so proud of myself... I got to my office 30 minutes early!... And my client was 40 minutes early. 🤦‍♀️ I was like "OMG, I can't win". Haha

Sometimes sessions go over a few minutes, and/or I need time to switch out bedding, grab water, etc... So just on time or no more than five minutes early is my personal answer.

Everyone is different, so the answer depends on the person you’re cuddling with. I knew a pro who invited me to come 5-10 early to change into cuddle clothes and get ready. I appreciated this because it gave me a chance to wind down; sometimes the traffic was bad or in the summer I might be too sweaty to just jump into cuddle time so I always had a change of clothes.

Ask the person you’re cuddling with. The answers you’re getting here are opinions and personal preferences that aren’t as relevant as the answer you’ll get from your cuddle professional.

  • I’m glad I saw these post about timing ⏱️. I’m new so all help is good help

  • When i know my cuddler is coming I have all my blanket and pillow case washed an dried, and I always take a shower an hour before they show so I'm fresh, that way when they get here everything is good to go. I'm kinda ocd about it, I aant everything to be ready so I'm not rushing around.

  • @chrissy123xo I've read a Pro's profile who requires a nonrefundable deposit and will cancel a session if the client is more than 5 minutes late without communication. But I have heard from several guys here that Pros are usually late (even by hours) and rarely communicate about it. So it really goes both ways. Just expect to follow the guidelines you set up for others.

  • I only meet and cuddle in public, so if someone is early and I'm on time, their happy butt would just have to wait. 😅 If they're late, it wouldn't bother me - there's a whole universe inside your phone, even if you were trapped inside a box. 😛 If we're both early, yay, more time together!

@Bear is completely correct though, this is something to ask each individual; as this thread proves, everyone's preferences vary wildly.

@Isildur posted: "if it's a low traffic residential area at night, well if I park in front of the house, I might find the local Sherriff pulling up behind me asking what I'm doing there."

If you're in front of the Pro's house, she would logically be the only one to call the cops about a "strange car". Neighbors would assume you belong there, and so would a cop passing through.

I think we often forget that we're the only ones who know our scenario - that we may be meeting a "stranger" to cuddle. No one else knows, or would ever suspect such a thing. 😊

@SunsetSnuggles Depends on the area. If just your car is there, no, people probably wouldn't react. If you're sitting in your car for an extended period, then you can attract attention. Based on what I see on Nextdoor, people in my general area are nosy as hell and very quick to call the cops on anyone they don't recognize coming into their neighborhood. If they see someone sitting a car, they assume he is casing places for future burglary.

😆 Maybe I've had different experiences because I'm a chick... I guess people may (wrongly) react differently depending on the gender.

I traveled the country and lived in my SUV for two years, often parking and even sleeping in my SUV in neighborhoods all across the country. I never once had the cops called on me, but I was also careful about how I went about it. I wouldn't sit there with my lights on, and I would choose a corner house by the fence so it was unclear which house I belonged to. But even with out-of-state plates, I never had an issue.

Maybe it was because people don't feel threatened or suspicious of a girl. Maybe I was lucky. 🤷🏻‍♀️ But yes, I could see a guy getting a different reaction.

Sexism is so stupid, but I have it built into me, too...yesterday I was driving and saw a woman carrying two big, clearly heavy trash bags, down the side of the main road. I thought I might offer her a ride on my way back, but she was gone by then.

I contemplated how I wouldn't have felt safe offering a guy a ride, in the same scenario, unless my boyfriend were with me. But maybe she was carrying body parts, haha...gender should make no difference, but it's tough to escape that sort of thing. 🫤

  • 5 minutes early isn't typically the end of the world. I'd take 5 minutes early to 5 minutes late.

However, like stated above, it is a process to get a session prepared and ready for someone and being on time is best. ❤️

  • I don’t ever host but when I go to their place or meet at their hotel, I try to arrive 5-15 minutes early. I will let them know I’m there and that I am happy to wait in the car until they are ready for me. L.A. traffic can be really unpredictable so sometimes I’m like 30 min early but I don’t ever tell them I’m there until 15 minutes prior.

  • I prefer to arrive in the general area at least 15-20 min early, then message the other party to let them
know I’ll be on time. Arriving near the session site early chills me out and puts me in a more “zen” mood. Being punctual makes me feel better.

Do I mind if people arrive early for a cuddle? Truth is a new client will arrive early. They haven’t been there yet. How is traffic? Is the house easy to find? Is parking ample or will I have to park a block away. When I go to a new place I always arrive early, but then I wait in the car and answer texts or delete some of me 6,000 emails before I go in on time. If my client arrives early, I don’t mind depending on how early. Up to 15 minutes I’ll probably be ready. Any earlier than that and I’m still vacuuming, setting up the music, in the shower, making the bed, or adding water to the aquarium so it doesn’t sound like Niagara Falls. I also offer coffee, tea, or water and like to talk off the clock to get to know a new person before we begin.

  • We have a lot to set-up, even those of us with our own dedicated space. Plus there are a few moments before the session where I like to ground and meditate, arriving early pretty much disrupts that.
Think of it as us wanting the space to be just right when you arrive, keep the agreed time.
