So I saw a thread titled something like pet names and naive me though it was talking about our actual animal pets when I clicked on it. 🤣
So tell us about your pet(s) (animals)

I have a 2 yr old kitty named "Orange Chicken" his mom was a wild outdoor kitty that hung out near me and I would toss food out at times. She was orange and white and always acted afraid so I started calling her "Orange Chicken". Well one day she had a newborn kitten at my front door. So of course he started to get called "Chicken Nugget" because he was so small. After maybe a week ,before his eyes were even open, she stopped feeding him and would smack her paw at him. He was crying and meowing so much, so I went and got some cat milk powder and started bottle feeding him and leaving him outside hoping she would take care of him. Well after a while he just ended up staying inside and got bottle fed every few hours for a month+ until he could eat solid food.

    I'm so glad you started this forum. I was so disappointed it wasnt actual pet names. We've had a white rooster named Marshmallow, and we have a brindle chihuahua named Mocha. Our hound dog was a rescue I found tied to a tree left behind by a previous tenant on a piece of abandoned property I bought years ago. I tried every name in the book, but she just wound up being called Momma Dog. She wouldn't respond to anything else. Of course we have our orange cat, Prince Otto. I think the kids and I fought over it so we combined their prince name with my pick of Otto. The funniest name i've seen was for a pair of dogs who were similar in color named Biscuit and Gravy. Sorry for the long ramble, just find the origin stories of most animal names entertaing.

    Thanks @stampsm ! I feel the same way. I understand animals aren't for everyone, but man they are nice to chill with. They don't talk back, well, except for Prince Otto, he's pretty vocal lol.
    @billiam thank you! I'm always taking pictures of him, he's so photogenic! He might actually be more photogenic than my kids, just don't tell them!😅

    @Mama_Bre Phoenix looks like an absolute cuddle bug! Shes beautiful!

    @Tanamnx they're so floofy😊. I know the long fur is absolutely horrible to clean in season changes, but they make for the best snuggles.

    I failed to mention our tux kitty, Journey. She took a rather eventful ride with her littermate in my undercarriage, and I love the band. So, Journey stuck.

    And then my daughter's German shepherd rescue, Raya. I was not a German shepherd fan at all, but Raya has changed my bias. I appreciate all the pet pictures!!!

    So i have 3 cats.

    The black cat (Sugar) stays with my son @ his Dads. She is my ESA cat and now shes my sons ESA. One day I hope I can bring her back : (

    Then I have 2 Cats with my partner Nova and Ska Buggy.

    I really want a dog one day when Im not in a apartment.

    I love this thread! What adorable cuddle buddies you all have! Mine's name is Leela. She's notorious for laying on top of me hugging me or curling up under the covers with me.
