Today is that day! Now, I'm not superstitious, but I am a little stitious. What are y'all's thoughts on things like lucky/unlucky numbers, and other common superstitions?

I'm into angel numbers. Whenever I see certain repeated numbers (333, 555) I take it as a sign to keep doing what I'm doing. Usually they pop up when I'm having doubts / need a sign that I'm on the right track.
In terms of superstitions, I have a few. Most notably is not putting my purse on the floor in order to not lose money. Another comes from my mom who, whenever a bird flies in front of the window while driving, will make a cross sign with her fingers. Idk the reasoning or where it comes from originally, but I still do it lol.

It’s a lucky day for Taylor Swift, she was born on the 13th, and her concert movie is in theaters today (actually started last night a day early).

Superstitions are fun, curious, and interesting, but ultimately have no bearing on reality. However, some are so ingrained in people that they can become a self-fulfilling prophesy of sorts.

I have a lucky number (4) but I don't particularly believe in superstitions or anything; saying that I have a habit of always looking at my phone/clock at exactly 11:11.
Friday the 13th is just tattoo day for me. 😁 My local tattoo shops do fun little Friday the 13th flash tattoo events, tattoos for $13 (plus $7 good luck tip).

I'm not generally superstitious and tend to embrace the things others find taboo anyway 🤣 13 has always been a "lucky" or favorite number. Black cats are my favorite (I currently have 3, I've had several others. They are my people). I've opened umbrellas indoors many times (performing on stage as Bert from Mary Poppins, in Singing in the Rain, and to Rhianna's Umbrella will do that). I've also walked/danced under ladders, broken mirrors (on purpose for art projects, and accidentally because I'm clumsy AF), and failed to forward any chain letter.
Then again, my sisters always predicted I'd end up the crazy but loveable spinster witch with 20 black cats and long silver hair who owns a bookstore and dances naked in the moonlight to the neighbor's horror 😅😇 I do love me my midnight margaritas and chocolate cake for breakfast.

I LOVE a good Friday the 13th! I think it's my favorite number. I like to consider it lucky and powerful because it makes so many people cower in fear, lol. I don't really believe in the superstition. I just consider it loads of fun!
I believe in the power of manifestation. If enough people believe in it, it could affect people in that circle you could say.
Years ago when I listen to Art Bell, they did an experiment and he had his listeners focus on rain in an area that was having a drought. Twice it brought rain to two different areas that had no rain forecasted and was having a drought. The only issue was. When I call the Hollywood effect. He was afraid that it would cause issues somewhere else the ring was supposed to be. No good Deed goes unpunished is what he was afraid of.

I don't think I have any superstitions...I was raised very conservative Christian, and anything of that sort was denounced, along with Halloween as a whole being shunned.
The nice thing about it is it's fairly impossible to freak me out with a horror film of any sort...no childhood trauma from such things buried deep inside, like most people. 😆
I never worried about monsters under my bed as a kid, and to this day, my nightmares typically reflect real-life experiences, not being chased by zombies or whatever. 🧟♂️

I’m not superstitious normally. It’s already Friday the 13th evening here. I was out all day, no problems (except I got lost & it was also pouring rain) I just want everything to be safe on Friday 13th in the US for family who are traveling.
