My longest relationship lasted 4 years. At some time I get bored (can happen to the other part too). Could I have another girlfriend? Yes, but not the same all life long.
YMMV, but if I was still engaged, I wouldn't have discovered a new person that has become an international friend and I wouldn't have cuddled with her in these days. So: hooray for single-hood!
